Can't she herself understand that "kyunki" at this point doesn't have anything that would grab audience...why would they watch the same thing that they have been watching since years...

And I think it's also that the taste of the Audience has changed a lot. Maybe this is my Bias as an urban OTT viewer, but people don't find the same things relatable anymore. Not to mention, we have a platform to voice our objections more directly than we did 20 years ago. She ruled then only because it was a shocking and somewhat exaggerated fantasy of everyday life.

People need to remember they maybe Shivansh and Prarthana onscreen but off screen they are just 2 professional coactors working together and they are just Namik and Pranali and their onscreen reel is not their REAL world . They both probably may have someone else in their life. So please be respectful about that. Even if they are both single or not please be respectful of actors personal space and their likes and dislikes. No wonder why some actors don’t like to interact too much with fans because people make them so uncomfortable.

At end of day they just like us normal people who are acting to make money.

I haven't seen Ekta's earlier work, my experience is from 2010 onwards, and it must be my nostalgia speaking but back then her shows were dramatic, cringe, bad, stretched but there was character development. Relationships were given time. It wasn't just big events, but also small moments. Audience could connect to some of that.

Now, both KKB and Parineeti next gen (the one I followed by watching clips) rushed into the romance and that's...that's not good storytelling and it's not Ekta's style.

Just look at KKB. Ekta's known for her casting, she chose Akshay (he's good but not lead material, especially not in a role like Raunak's in PraNak era, plus he lacked chemistry with Pranali. Ekta's shows had bad writing but insane chemistry). The show is ending and still there's so much of Sonalika, whose character graph is...a disappointment, and Megha's screeching is intolerable. Ekta used to cast good actors for negative roles. Actors who could hold their own. Now this.

Maybe she's trying to show that Balaji is in negatives so she doesn't have to pay high taxes. Otherwise who does stuff like this.

Also, we are discussing Shivangi and Namik but that wouldn't have been the original pairing. It would have been Shivangi and Akshay, and I really don't see THAT happening, even with edits (watch me swallow my words if it ever happens, ITV please don't do that to me).

Pranali is the best choice for Prarthana, Ekta made the right choice. Zee can take their ego and go back to getting 0+ rating on their shows, since they clearly don't get that casting is not about choosing your favourites

I think from my observations till now, Shivangi doesn't fit the mold of very innocent types - like feature-wise, there is a sharpness to her face which makes her a better fit for more spunky/mature characters like Naira or Aradhna from her previous shows. Pranali's features exude the bholi bhali types that fit Prarthana's requirements perfectly. Even in Durga or YRKKH, her character was very innocent in nature (at first at least). I know good acting overshadows whatever disadvantage one's facial features might have. But who are we talking about here, ITV that runs on the lead couple's chemistry? No chance, them looking good together is pretty important. And nor do the actors have enough leeway, like in films, to change style-wise to experiment and establish their acting.

Exactly. Pranali has the features that suit the role, and it's important that she does, good acting won't overpower everything (and to be honest I don't think Shivangi is that good an actress). It's an easy choice.

Prarthana's wardrobe 😍 Pranali just uploaded a story in a beautiful floral print, it exudes calm.

I love her styling in this show. There's a mix of fancy and comfortable clothing, her jewelry is good, and she's never overdressed (at least to the point of ITV overdressed).

Counterproductive IMO, considering this can affect how people will perceive her legacy shows on air. It's badly affecting BALH and KSBKBT already, since fans of the other shows(mainly KKB) are like super pissed with her. She'd be a clown to do this, especially to her lucky child in Zee that has been running for a decade, longer than the former two tbh. KKB is a legacy in its own right. Unlike KSBKBT, which is strongly dependent on the OG ML and FL, KKB has had success in all of its generations up to a point, mainly due to the lead's chemistry. If KKB were run during the 2000s with the same pairings, it would have been a far better hit than the former in the romance soap category atleast. I don't know from my memory if the other one had scenes like KKB has for the lead pair. But I don't think it does.
