But since the leads were more popular and the Wider belt audience are not necessarily like Bengali viewers, it backfired so badly here.

Hope she won't make the mistake with Gen 2 and Ishani. Already it is icky with love triangle with half sisters and an adoptive mother-daughter respectively.

That word and Leena should not be used in one sentence...She is such a sadist that she actually created a narrative regarding off screen dynamic as well.. .and made sure that the environment in the show remain toxic both on and off the screen...just because she had no intention of improving the quality of her show...so her agenda was ..."main toh Jo gandagi failana chahti hun..failaungi...but aap log bhi chod nahi paoge"😡😆

I know this is a little off topic to talk about another Ekta show here, but I think considering all of is ladies in the forum longing for domestic scenes between Prashiv, it made me think why I liked and watched BL through the torture to the end.

With BL, the premise was that Lakshmi was married to Rishi without her knowing that she was kind of a Guardian to him, because of "Markesh Dosh". And how they fall in love, face trials and tribulations form the story for the rest of the show.

At least for the first 200ish episodes, it was legit good. Especially with how Rishi falls in love with Lakshmi- slowly but surely.

Lakshmi is very similar to Prarthna, being calm and peaceful with a quiet inner strength that can either be supportive or destructive, depending on how the partner handles them. They remind me of the element earth- grounding and inert. Capable of relieving all the toxicity and pain.

Rishi slowly falls in love with Lakshmi because of the peace she brings him, a balm to the restlessness caused by his hiding the truth of their marriage due to circumstances. And the unconditional care and affection she shows for him, her "husband," without anything in return. Domestic days with her slowly opened his eyes to the kind of stability he wanted for his life, more than the passion he experienced with his so-called "love" of his life- Malishka. A maturing of sorts.

Albeit with different shades, Prarthana more or less does the same for Shivansh- medicine to his wounded soul and the restlessness within him, caused by his mother abandoning him. And the unconditional care and affection she shows, through her efforts to get to the root of his trauma and solve it. Domestic days with Prarthana gave him a glimpse into the life he always idealized for his parents and himself- a calm and stable life with loved ones, free of trauma and burdens. A happy ever after.

Also, both love to give bashan about the sanctity of Marriage, Lakshmi to a lesser extent.

There is so much more to write- but the gist is that Ekta recycles both tracks and Characters by adding different flavors to them so viewers still stick to the show without experimenting with totally new stuff. Hence the inevitable comparison.

I also liked the fact that in BL, the bond between FIL and DIL was shown so beautifully. Also, the setting for romance itself was arranged marriage, so lots and lots of domestic scenes that oozed with chemistry, at least for me. Like, I am a person not really in favor of arranged marriage in real life, but the show made me rethink that maybe arranged marriages can be wonderful in their own way.

Anyone wanting to try the show, I would strongly suggest watching after the marriage takes place, to the time when they try for divorce and are made to live together for 3 months as a chance to reconcile. like between 30-200ish episodes. The angst was done so well there, with Lakshmi leaving and Rishi realizing he can't live without her (whether he realized that was love or not is another story tho), and the wife chasing crematorium arc that followed. If they tried even half of that here in Prashiv's own flavor, it would work so well.

On that note, I wanted to expand more on why the "Jaan Baan Gaye" song works well for both couples- it denotes how two people become a significant part of each other without realizing when it happens, but it does, and they both accept it with grace and dignity while quietly coming to terms with what it means- that they are each other's voices- for those feelings they cannot comprehend and verbalize themselves. And how they are each other's honor and respect. A god given gift, to their prayers.

Which is what happened with Rishi and Lakshmi, and what is happening with Shivansh and Prarthana.

One thing I do trust Ekta to do is build enough scenes for the couple, one thing I don't see consistently in other PH shows.

Atleast we will get a happy ending. Ekt should have chose to stay for 3 more months at 7 pm time slot and still gave us a happy ending.

If she was going to end it why did they bring in Namik first of all. Namik practically brought back show to life.

We got 32 episodes left to watch now.

anyways atleast we got some time left. Let’s enjoy every minute of it.

Gossip tv news are not always true either but we should take it as true and tomorrow sbs or sbb will be announce it. no more dragging story will move forward from now on and they shoot 2 days before a episode airs I believe .

Let’s just enjoy whatever time is left and cherish it.

If Ekta has even a shred of respect left for her longest running show, then she’ll give it the dignified and fulfilling ending it deserves.. with heartfelt, memorable moments between leads that we can cherish forever

I know she didn’t do that with BL or KDB but KKB is the legacy that started it all, the flagship ..

I hope she gives us such beautiful scenes that they wash away all the bitter memories and leave us remembering how beautifully it ended.. very few shows, even the long running ones, get a proper ending these days so we'll truly be lucky if we get one for ourselves..

Shivansh and Smitha scene should be written well and not rushed like past 2 shows estranged mother and son duo I was disappointed especially in Appnapan because show was going off air it was rushed.
