Despite the injury, Bashir played a key role in England’s narrow 22-run victory at Lord’s, claiming the final wicket to seal the win and put the hosts ahead in the series

Your addition is making it sound something completely opposite here.

Most runs in series by indian player

The record belongs to Shubman Gill. Gets to a boundary, goes up to 78 in the innings, and 697* runs in the ongoing Test series. Kohli made 692 in the 2014/15 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but Gill has surpassed him now. England's lead also drops below 150 -- 144 now

What a day it was!!

A humongous task for Indian batters after losing their 2 openers in the first over itself!!

The day started with India looking down and out on the field. Stokes was hammering the bowlers everywhere, and even raised his first hundred in two years. But Rahul and Gill have managed to change the mood with a great show of defiance. And it's not that they've needed a lot of luck either. There was one dropped catch from Dawson off Gill shortly before the tea break. But other than that, and except a few plays and misses against the new ball, both of them have been in total control of proceedings. The pitch isn't misbehaving too much when the ball is older and softer. The big challenge will be when the second new ball becomes available at some point tomorrow in the first session. Long way to go still and England are still favourites. But the way this series has gone, you can expect some drama. There's some talk of rain as well. All the makings of another thrilling finish.

Rain in asian continent & in eng diffrent, they have better Equipment and their Drainage system superior Quality. On & off rain not help us, we need to bats as good as our other toured here, when Sachin, Ganguly and others saved us by scoring 429/8 to draw test when eng lead was 264

Jadeja, shardul, rahul, Gill, someone need to hang around long Enough to draw the test & try to win at oval ( so far lucky to Asian teams) with the help of Kuldeep ji.

Still think it’s England’s game .

Provided that Rishabh can’t bat and Dawson will be very dangerous against left handers due to the rough.

The first session is key, if india lose more than 1 wicket in first session than England will win.

Amit ji

Unfortunately this particular test ( 1st time in 93 years) we have 5 Left handers in our team, surely Dawson could be their match winner, i wish Ben stokes gets more tiresome & Stiff so we can draw this test.
