Is it just me or is War 2's marketing strategy surprisingly underwhelming?
We’re talking about a film that stars Hrithik Roshan, arguably one of the last true-blue megastars Bollywood has left—and yet, YRF seems oddly lowkey about promoting it. With barely weeks to go, we still have no trailer, no songs, and just one teaser that dropped a while back and did all the heavy lifting alone.
In a world where hype is everything and visibility is currency, this feels like a misstep. Why aren’t they capitalizing on Hrithik’s massive fandom? Where’s the audio-visual blitz that usually surrounds a tentpole film like this? Not even a single full-length romantic or action song to stir up the buzz?
It's almost as if they’re relying on the brand and the cast to do all the work—which, sure, might still pull an opening, but doesn’t this feel like a wasted opportunity? For a film that has the potential to redefine action cinema in India, the buildup so far has felt oddly muted.
Just hoping this silence doesn’t cost them the noise they deserve.
