At least, Deepika is the first Indian actress who gets one - whoever nominated her, whoever paid...

The process makes clear that the respective star has just to agree through his/her management...others can do the nomination and pay the fees.

So, one has to ask the person(s) who made the decision to give her a star, why it was done, right?

Why Tabu, Irfan, Aishwarya Rai or PC did not receive this Star??? These people have done more work in Hollywood over the years to deserve it..

If it’s based on nominations then someone obviously nominated her. This is more of a popularity sentiment than an anything else. Comparisons to Irfan and Tabu doesn’t apply really. And if the celeb themselves have to pay for its upkeep Deepika is obviously willing to do that. Maybe PC and Aishwarya weren’t willing to pay the fee.

This isn’t the biggest deal, but it will be something fun and cute for her fans to look forward to as there will be a small unveiling ceremony etc. So it’s all good.
