Raja Chaudhary Lashes Out At Ex-Wife Shweta Tiwari, Calls Her 'Illiterate', Claims He Planned Daughter Palak Tiwari's Future: 'Jab Paise Aaye Toh Dimaag Kharab Ho Jaata Hai Logon Ka'
Shweta Tiwari’s first husband, Raja Chaudhary, recently opened up about their troubled marriage and the circumstances around their divorce. While defending himself against past allegations of domestic violence and alcoholism, Raja expressed regret over how their separation played out publicly.
“If given a chance,” he told Hindi Rush, “I would ask Shweta why she didn’t resolve the matter between us instead of involving the police.” Raja went on to claim that Shweta’s then-inner circle played a key role in ending their marriage.
‘Where’s the capability for equality?’: Raja criticises Shweta’s attitude towards money
When asked about his role in the marriage, especially if Shweta was the sole breadwinner, Raja said he was working too, albeit earning less. However, he felt judged for it.
“You could say that. She was earning more, I was earning less. I was working too, but does that even matter?” he asked. “A man earns his whole life — the day a woman earns, she feels it was her money... Then there will be talk about walking shoulder to shoulder, about equality — but where’s the capability for equality? Your intentions changed just by seeing a little money.”
'You lived in a chawl, suddenly money made you arrogant'
Raja didn't hold back as he spoke about Shweta’s financial transformation, implying it altered her mindset. He alleged that her humble background made her susceptible to change when money started flowing in.
“Tumne paise dekhe nahi, bachpan se tumne gareebi ki zindagi ji hai, chawl main rahe ho... jab paise aaye toh dimaag kharab ho jaata hai logon ka,” he said. “Padhai likhai tumne ki nahi hai, anpadh tum vaise ho... She became a businesswoman. ‘I earned it, it’s my money’ — what did you even earn? Did you arrive on this earth alone? It’s our money.”
He accused Shweta of claiming ownership over their collective achievements and implied that she began living “a fake life” once success came her way.
