Honestly, they should have expected it... It's not rocket science that most fans watch CID for the original cast. Everyone knows who the backbone of CID is. If the makers think that bringing any actor will bring the same love from the fans, then they are stupid.

Oh they definitely didn't anticipate such a backlash. I'm sure the viewers might have remained calm if they hadn't made Ayushman such a jerk in the beginning and put out that rude farewell post for ACP sir. Those two were major triggers for backlash.

And since they weren't prepared, now they are stuck because they probably hadn't planned for it

Well honestly the only good thing today was that Bhoomi Kritika weren't there today 😊

Otherwise seeing them interfere would've been even worse

Hope Saturday’s track continues in Sunday’s episode otherwise a mess in story line leaving lots of questions and confusion - how did Daya and sachin get involved in jewellery theft, etc.

ACP Sir is not real but Doppler set up by Barbosa. We the viewers fooled by makers with headlines Shivaji Satam coming back. His comeback is as fake ACP Sir. Unless real ACP Sir is kidnapped by Barbosa or is really dead. Actor brought to play fake ACP?? My opinion.

This Eye Gang track needs to end in continuous episodes, not being shown in bits and drabs.

I prefer the normal tracks now... idk why but I feel after eye gang is over Acp Pradyumans character will retire...like cmon he is an old guy
