I heard that it was actually not out because mankading can be done only before some point of bowling action.

Digvesh IPL fee is 30 lakhs

He will have to pay 30% tax i.e. 9 lakhs

For celebrations he already paid fine of 9.37 lakhs

Now for slow over he will pay 12 lakhs

So question is how much money is left with him?

I heard some commentator speaking that when a wicket falls, after few minutes of celebration, Dhoni sends everyone back to their fielding positions in order to avoid slow over rate fine - before the next batsman comes in.

CSK is in top position in the fair play awards table as of now.

We were second last i saw .

I think the question of whether it is fair or unfair to impose monitory penalty on players for slow over rate has stemmed from our understanding of match fees.

Match fees is different from auction price.

Players will receive a separate match fees for playing in each game they play. Which is 7.5 lakhs. Every player irrespective of how much they earn in the auction will be paid an extra 7.5 lakhs per game including impact players.

Pant was penalized 30 lakhs and his team members were penalized 12 lakhs or 50% of their match fees (whichever is less). Obviously rest of the players will pay 3.75 lakhs each.

Pant or any other captain has no such luxury I guess. They have to pay 12 lakhs if is their first offense, 24 lakhs if it is their 2nd offense and 30 lakhs if it their 3rd offense. Offense being slow overrate.

Other offenses will incur other monitory penalties and some offense may incur other penalties such as in-game field restrictions and demerit points.

Cheers..

What is your opinion, friends?

It is not an offense committed by the bowler Madhu. When opponents are successfully chasing 200+ runs, the fielding teams tend to spend more time in strategizing their next move. They spend lot of time in picking their next bowler, setting and resetting fields and prepping the bowler. Suddenly everyone becomes an on field coach and try to give their two cents. Hence the slow over rate. The teams need to keep an eye on the clock and make it fast. They can't take forever in between overs.

Rules were set for a reason and everyone has to follow them or cop the penalty.

Cheers..
