Well thats unfair .Ishaan did not bring reeva home because of being professors .He bought her home because he was almost married to her .So this argument dosent make sense honestly.Although it was not ishaan who asked reeva to come .She came herself and overstayed because of his family primarily . Although noone in their senses would bring their ex fiance home after marrying someone else but it's itv so anything is possible .The point is him being a professor had nothing to do with this .

Also regarding cartons of books - if you see the show you will realise after a long period of misunderstanding ishaan trully understood savi was a good student and he wanted to do everything he could for her to succeed because he saw the same potential in her that he had once .So no ,this too cannot be generalized as professor giving cartons of books .It's looked absolutely fine in the given context.

I’m not too sure about the situation in India, but in other countries, even though it’s a common trope in books and shows, professors can only get into relationships with their students after the students have finished their course or graduated. Otherwise, it crosses ethical and sometimes even legal boundaries, and they could get fired for it. Even then, it’s frowned upon. The regulations are even more stringent for mental health professionals such as psychiatrists, who are generally prohibited from marrying their patients, regardless of whether a formal therapeutic relationship still exists.

As for India, I don’t know if there are specific laws or how often it actually happens, but culturally, it’s generally frowned upon. A professor is seen as a Guru, someone who should be respected deeply. So the idea of getting into a romantic or marital relationship with them isn’t something that’s usually accepted or encouraged.

Yep. In most countries, it's against work ethics and in many cases, legal boundaries of a teacher or professor to engage in a relationship with a student while they're their student. Many times it lies in the sick idea of grooming, although one might also say that it's applicable for minors yada yada. But like you said V, unless they have completed their studies and attained a different status as an individual, professors are not the romantic subjects for a student nor vice-versa in real life.

Differing opinions are not just fine but it's welcomed.

But in this context when you are generalizing a character and his actions( who has many flaws and there are no two ways about it ) just based on hearing other people's comments and not watching it first hand makes it a biased opinion.

So I simply pointed out the scenarios where the comments you made were too generalized and the actual context behind those scenarios was more nuanced and were not very triggering at that point.

Regarding teacher student relationship yes I might have an issue while they are still in college because school would be too minor .But once the student has graduated and is a consenting adult , i couldn't care less who dates whom and honestly it's nobody's business to judge either.

Professors do marry their students after they complete their course.But very rare.
