I am the new age Baa: Sarita Joshi

Sarita Joshi, who plays the character of Godavari Thakkar, in Baa Bahu Aur Baby for the third consecutive year has been nominated in two categories at the Star Parivaar Awards - Favourite Buzurg and Favourite Saas.

Sarita Joshi, who plays the character of Godavari Thakkar, in Baa Bahu Aur Baby for the third consecutive year has been nominated in two categories at the Star Parivaar Awards - Favourite Buzurg and Favourite Saas.

"The reason why our serial has been appreciated so much is because the values it carries along with itself and it has characters similar to what we see in real life and not anything larger than life," says Sarita.

About Star Parivaar Awards, Sarita Joshi says, "Star has and will always have a very special place in my life. It was Star, who had signed me for Baa Baho Aur Baby and it's because of them that I got an identity of the new age Baa. I am enjoying every bit of it. I personally want the serial to continue for 5 more years. After that I can probably take a break and go for a long vacation."

Sarita is definitely not worried about winning. She says, "After working for so many years, it really does not matter to me. If I win it will be good and if not then also it will be fine. For an actor, his/her acting should be good and acting is not done for awards. But still who does not like getting appreciated and winning an award. But that is secondary not primary."
