I don't think about TRP at all. So, I don't know. Also, I don't watch Ghum now. That's why the show's TRP doesn't matter to me.

I watched the first 3 episodes of You season 5 today. The creepy serial killer, Joe Goldberg is back with his inner monologues.

My thoughts:

You is back on track! Season 5 is definitely good! In fact, it's as interesting as season 1, 2 and 3. Season 5 restored my interest in You which died after watching season 4. The chapter of London ended with season 4. Joe Goldberg now lives in his own country, the USA like before. He has fallen in love again. I'm not surprised at all. The new love interest has an ulterior motive. Now that's interesting. Henry is back! He was a baby when Joe left him outside his friend's doorstep at the end of season 3. Now Henry is kid and lives with Joe and his wife, Kate.

My interest in watching a spin-off based on Henry:

Season 5 is the final season of You. Will there be a spin-off? I don't know. But if the makers create a spin-off and make Joe's son, Henry the central character I'll definitely watch. In fact, I think they should make a spin-off based on the character of Henry. He has a lot of potential to become an intriguing character. Both his father, Joe and his biological mother, Love are murderers. In fact, Love was even more dangerous than Joe when she was alive. So, there's a high chance that Henry will become a serial killer as well. Genes influence a person's personality a lot. Even though both Joe and Love are killers, they are different from each other. When Joe is a calculated criminal, Love was an impulsive murderer. So, it would be interesting to see what type of serial killer Henry becomes as an adult. Will Henry exhibit the characteristics of his father who thinks he kills to protect people? Or will he show traits of his mother who was more self-aware?

The novels:

The series, You is based the books written by Caroline Kepnes. There're four novels in the book series and they're You, Hidden Bodies, You Love Me and For You and Only You. I'm more interested to listen to the audiobook version of You rather than reading the novel. That's because I'm really used to listening Joe's monologues. I listened to his inner monologues for 43 episodes. 7 episodes are left which I'll finish soon. So, it'll be difficult for me read the book in my voice. If I read the book in my voice, I may not feel connected to the book because I always heard all the thoughts of the central character in a man's voice. I know there're some differences between the novel, You and the show, You. I'm willing to know about those differences.
