Replying to this post over here , what were they doing in that clip? Why were they throwing cricket balls at stumps?

Is think cricket's version of penalty kick from football? Or is this another method of deciding who the winner is after a tie? If so what is it called?

Yes. Correct. Way to decide a tied match. This was called a Bowl Out. The only bowl out that happened in a WC.

It was removed after that because it was not Cricketesque. Organizers then added a super over. A shortened 1 over match. Every team will bat 1 over and whoever scores more wins.

Aah yes , i was familliar with "super over" that was going to be my follow up quration in that post whether this was practiced before or after super over.
