You are ofcourse free to give your opinion but most of us here don't agree with it as we have been watching CID since childhood. I wouldn't say Parth is a bad actor...but the role of Acp is not for him. You might have liked him as the Acp but there are people who could've looked better in that role. You gave an explanation for Daya and Abhijeet but what about Pankaj Purvi? They have also been working from a long time

Again the hate is not for the actor...it's just that people like us couldn't accept a newbie kid as an Acp who is expected to have a lot of experience

Pankaj and Purvi were never in the race. There's this one scene of Pankaj and Freddy sir, where Pankaj is like yeh kursi mujhe bahot miss karegi, and Freddy sir's like kyun, Pankaj's like kyunki mera promotion hone wala hai. Freddy sir is like his typical, achhha, and then he's like what? Tera promotion? Yaha pe acp sir, daya sir aur abhijeet sir ko salute mar mar mere hath ghis gaye aur promotion hoga tera?

No current member can be a ACP, and that’s exactly why Ayushman fits. New wala jo bhi aayega, kabhi accept nahi hoga.

CID is the only crime show we have on TV. Longest running, most loved infact.

I too used to watch CID before. But then I started watching all these international shows like Criminal, etc CID just didn't match up anymore. Besides, if you are reader you often come across great murder mysteries and then CID cases seem easy to guess.

Still, it’s a great show, packed with lovable characters and so much potential. It could totally make it to the big screen—I saw a post recently about wanting a movie, and honestly, they absolutely should go for it. Watching CID folks in films already feels so cool. Daya Sir smashing the door in Singham Again is something you can’t forget. Whenever we see Abhijeet sir in a film, aren’t we all like, oh, that’s Abhijeet from CID.

The nostalgia and attachment are real, but the story can move forward like this, way better than any other way.

This is what I feel. Maybe I’m wrong and the loyal viewers are right, but maybe I could be right too. Ayushman is already growing on a lot of people.

There’s a scene in Signal remake where this new young guy joins and rags the senior police officer, who happens to be working under a female ASI, younger than him. At first, there’s mutual dislike between the new joinee and the old guy, but eventually, they learn to work together, because catching criminals matters more than personal squabbles.

That’s the heart of an interesting storyline— difference in idealogies, ways of working, emotional vs rational, conflict in taking orders from someone younger or less experienced, sometimes learning from them, sometimes teaching them. Isn’t that the whole point? Learning to work together, solving tough cases, developing a dynamic, putting the bad guys behind the bars.

Initially, I was watching only to see how he fits in the show. But since the silent episode the writing has kinda impressed me. There's potential for sure.

Ayushman could be jealous of ACP’s affection for the others; they could envy his senior position. It’s a dynamic that could really carry the show forward.

Wouldn't completely disagree with you but....

Not considering Pankaj and Purvi is a harsh thing to say.. after the Bomb blast episode Purvi was the one leading the case...and they solved it too without the trio..so how can u say they aren't a part of the race

Secondly when there was a person like Shivaji Satam playing a role of Acp Pradyuman....a new comer like Parth(ik he has acted before but compared to Shivaji sir...he is a newbie) will not be accepted in his role.....Kitna bhi bolo this Parth guy was brought to replace Shivaji sir

Toh if Parth was brought as an Inspector na toh bhi everyone would've loved him....Pankaj Purvi level ka ya even AbhiDaya level....but as Acp no yaar

They will happily accept "yspt" nonsense and have acp pradyuman back killing all the emotions we felt in these episodes rather than accepting the death of the legendary character and have a deep impactful storyline. And of course the makers will have to backtrack if such intense outrage takes place. I am not at all a fan of parth but he performed decently in all the episodes which I was not expecting. Such non idealistic characters are the need of the hour for this show to survive. We aren't kids anymore so makers need to show some character development rather than making the cops some kind of immortal superheroes.

That's some hardcore generalisation right there. Most of the fans don't like YSPT plus we would've like Ayushman as a character if he wasn't introduced as a mean person who barked orders like a boss instead of guiding his team like a true leader

Most don't have a problem with the actor but the character

And ACP Pradyuman is ACP Pradyuman. There's no replacement for him. CID is nothing without him / AbD / Freddy and OG forensic team

Exactly this is it so difficult to understand that their is difference between being bossy and being j**k . He has given us no good reason to like him so why should we do because he looks good Major issue has always lied with character

Yep it's not about being averse to change. It's ablout presenting the new character in a likeable way

Does he dislike them, or is it the team that has trouble accepting him? Even if he were a genuinely likeable person, it seems likely the team would still struggle with him because he’s younger and holds a more senior position, that alone is a reason enough.

They often behave as though they report only to Abhijeet sir, but he doesn’t make an issue out of this. If he actually looked down on them, he wouldn’t have openly said This is my CID and this is my team. By doing so, he showed that he accepted them. It’s the team that appears to be having difficulty accepting him, and its fine if they don't want to but you cannot atleast subtly try to dismiss the authority of his position.

Most of them act as if they don’t want to take instructions from him, which doesn’t reflect well on professionalism. If someone truly harbored resentment, it’s unlikely they would let this kind of behavior slide.

Even ACP Prithviraj was younger than Abhijeet and Daya but they accepted him after their first case together.

About the CID team accepting Ayushman I'm sure that the team would've been accepting of him if he had his attitude in check upon his arrival. I'm not asking him to bend over backwards for the team , as a leader one should show certain kind of authority but the person has to exhibit that authority without being downright dismissive and rude......the team would only remember his misdemeanor even after he has warmed up to them. When it comes to ACP Prithviraj- how much ever i disliked his presence - he was kind but firm , understanding but strict , the writers weren't able to replicate that for Ayushman

Lastly like I mentioned before , it's not the actor with whom most of the fans have problem but with the character.
