By getting married to Prathna, Shivaansh has snatched raunak's love from him. So he will be heartbroken and seeing her son in that state smita will be sad too.

Shivaansh wants to avenge smita because she left him and his father to get married to another guy richer than his father. His father hid the truth about this from Shivaansh from childhood and told him that he was responsible for smita leaving them.

Then on his father's deathbed, Shivaansh came to know the truth and he wanted to apologize to his father but before he could do so he passed away. So Shivaansh wants to take revenge on smita for leaving him and his father and that because of her he grew up hating his father.

As for raunak, he is Smita's dearest so if he hurts raunak smita would be hurt too.

After Prathna 's entry in Raunak's life,Smita 's position was challenged /threatened and her laadla son was no more maa ka chamcha like she have always seen before but things got out of her hand when Raunak everytime stood against her for a random girl like Prathna who is no match to her as per her POV.

But today his dialogues were scary,I hope he won't do anything heinous against prathana in his revenge game and moreover his bua is also a misogynist, snobbish woman like Smita who doesn't even an ounce of empathy for a girl(not even for once bua was worried about Prathana's mental state,all she cared and worried about was ki ab Shivansh ka life and career barbaad hogaya because of this marriage ). Shivansh assured his bua that he will dump prathna jab time ayega and remove her existence from his life. Then he will marry sonalika .

Psycho misogynist Smita se peecha choota hi nahi tha ki ab aur ek psycho bua bhi saamil to make FL's life hell even though their laadlas are the one running after a FL not vice versa.
