Disagree. SRK maybe a global superstar in terms of numbers of fans given the population of Bollywood audiences. But outside of Southeast Asia and the Middle East there’s a huge disconnect between Indian entertainment and rest of the world. Specially America and Europe. So no, an American entertainment reporter knowing Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, and JLo is not the same as knowing SRK. Not even in the same vicinity.

Exactly, most westerners don't watch bollywood films, that's just a fact, so they don't know who srk is.

When srk has gone abroad to events and interviews it's to promote a bollywood movie and it's targeted at the NRI and overseas south asian population, not at the western population.
