Reporters couldn't Recognize SRK at MET Gala - Page 8

How is it a big deal. No one can recognise every celeb on planet.

Ppl in India also don't recognise hollywood celebs when they visit India like dua lipa.

Only "controversial" in the way this o n e interview from a side-reporter is used to 'run SRK down' (by the Indian 'Godi'-media and by some members here...they obviously got their little high from that).

1) SRK doesn't call himself the biggest... the most known... etc moviestar in the world...that are always others who do this hyperbolism (which I don't like, btw.). He himself however admits that the NRI's have made him the star he is internationally.

2)We have no idea if the reporter wasn't sure or didn't know at all but at least, she was interested enough in this man on the steps to ask for an interview. So, if she didn't know him before, she knows him now...fine

3) There is no way that SRK is known by every person, especially when not working in SRK's field of work. As far as I know, it is the first international f a s h i o n show he attends as a participant. In addition, the common (white) US American is quite little interested in countries with almost no white population... this lack of interest (and also a certain conceit), is part of the US American history and present. Fortunately, some areas of work make good exceptions like arts (e.g. fashion) and digital technics (journalism should, too, but fails far too often).

For SRK, it was important to make an appearance there, but it was - more or less - a matter of 'going in & going out'.

Well In mi opinion Srk sure is bigger star in India than Tom Cruise outside India is different. SRK is a Superstar in his own Country that's for sure.

Hollywood actors are also usually very very attractive and that makes them even more popular... although I've never liked Tom Cruise I've always been more of a Pitt fan until what happened with Angelina and the kids then I started to dislike Brad but every woman I know were mad for Pitt and DiCaprio.
