It just took away from the claim he used to make about never looking for the west’s validation. SRK has reached a stage where he is his own brand. He seriously didn’t need to dent that brand by making such useless appearances and embarrassing his ardent fans.

Even if he tries he wouldn't make it. Srk is big in Bollywood, but he doesn't fit the Hollywood actor prototype. The only person I thought had everything to fit the Hollywood profile was DP, and she didn't make it. .. but the film wasn't that great so.
