She's not betraying her country by posing with him. He's not a diplomat that he should be held accountable for what the Pakistan state covertly sponsors . He's probably as much of a target over there in Pak as she is in India; he's a fashion designer to begin with and many of his designs are provocative. They've known each other for years , she cannot snub him . The only reason to have not posed is a PR one but she'd use the controversy to her advantage in the long run by acting shocked in an interview a few months later ; she'd say she wasn't expecting these reactions and eye-roll her way out of it.

She is not betraying, but she is not caring for sentiments either. I never said that she should cut all ties. But my stance was, she could have done without displaying them at this sensitive time.

But she hasn't cared in the past, she is not the one to worry now or in future. And like you said, she is in the business long enough to know what she is doing . She can use or even milk this if needed or at opportune time.

Some others would like to see that love via appropriate action and not just talking.

Maybe there is something that she uniquely knows, that we don't seem to want to know about lasting friendships?

But yeah, ‘ betraying my country’ or whatever.

so we are supposed to cut off ties with friends and families who happen to be on the other side of borders? kareena and this designer have no relation to what happened..4 terrorists, 2 from india itself..and civilians from both the countries are supposed to be at war with each other and cut off ties? well online it may happen but in real world people are more sensible than that..anything to bash the celebrities..they indeed are soft targets..stop spreading unnecessary hate..indians and pakistanis are civil with each other outside the toxicity of india and pakistan..people in UK, US, canada, middle east all are cordial and civil..go and attack them too please!!

Kareena used to endorse Pakistani suits if I am not wrong(when pak dramas were popular in India). Forgot the brand name.
