Actually i don't know about that too. It's just that hindi/Urdu vocab have been used since the start of this entertainment industry that people are not used to pure hindi language. It's only used in historical and religious shows now, otherwise people find it funny in daily life . I mean imagine jhanak actually saying yeh mere "praannath" or "priyatam" hai.... everyone would have trolled her. It's just that no one is used to it because it had never been used in movies or shows

Or maybe it's difficult to understand nowadays... Shudh hindi mai na jo Urdu ki mithaas hai na wo thodi cum lagti hai yani kiski apna pyaar izhaar karna ho to mohabbat sune ko acha lagta hai...

I guess Urdu is easier and widely acceptable among South Asians, so it is being used to target a broad range of audiences. Most significantly, it sounds polite, respectful, and lyrical.

Talaq is an Arabic word whereas Azad is Persian. Urdu is actually a blend of various languages, which makes it really beautiful!

Ye azad word kitna polite lag raha tha Ani per🤣🤣 Mukhti should be used instead as it's more impactful in that context.....😆

Hindi and Urdu are, though mutually intelligible languages, but surprisingly, TV shows mostly use Urdu words, maybe simple to understand.
