Nothing surprising to me...the expected cheerleading... the Censor Board reaction is much more interesting to me...the rest is another south-north collaboration with a Hindi movie star who is meant to get made the (re-newed) mega star with the according help...'Sunny, the man for the masses' ...and (almost) every star has members here to post the string of supporting Tweets and media articles.

So why are people celebrating a very mediocre opening of ~ 10 Cr?

1) The film didn't get certified till a day before release which led to a full fledged advance of only 6 hrs. With only 2.5 Crs in advance, 10 Cr is a huge win.

2) Single screen driven Day 1. But with a Phenomenal on ground WOM & Reviews, the multiplexes should come along in a big way on Sat/Sun.

3) All organic, not an ounce of corporate booking involved, unlike the recently released Sky Force which collected in the same range.

4) Mid budget 100 Cr film. A 10 Cr opening almost guarantees a recovery and a HIT status.

5) Lastly, Sunny Paaji in his Ghatak, Ghayal, Damini, Ziddi Avatar. A treat for his fans. Will worry about records with Border 2 & Ramayana.
