This whole scenario had nothing to do with Mannat not trusting him. If he’d expected trust from Mannat, he should have trusted her enough first to listen what she had to say in her defence. If he’d the patience to listen to everyone ranting against Mannat but not the person in question, then idk what kind of “friendship” is he claiming he had fulfilled earlier! He didn’t take a minute to count his favours and throw at her face btw none of which were asked by Mannat in the first place!

He’s choosing to listen what he wants to hear and to those who are aligned with his decision of not pursuing the criminal under the garb of shalini’s refusal. Regardless of her refusal, police should’ve been allowed to do their job in an impartial and fair manner. With him essentially supporting ARS lying to police authorities, he’s actually an accomplice to crime atp!

You said everything so clearly and love the perspective you put across. There were quite a lot of character traits which came out yesterday, especially for Vikrant which was quite interesting.

I also feel he is right now in a very messed up mind set with all the negativity around him, no space to think , but this is me trying to understand Vikrant.

Yes this will be impactful story wise for Vikrant's character since he has taken this whole incident in a laid back fashion.

Not that Mannat is more important than Shalini in anyway, but from impact perspective would love to see Vikrant's reaction considering he is so attached to Mannat and close to confessing his feelings. Will he finally sit and think was he wrong all along kind of being ok with the cover up

Technically Vikrant knows ARS, Punnu tried to coverup if we leave ARS's speech about how she cares for Shalini and she is paying her bills and blah blah blah.

Are they saying Vikrant is ok to coverup Mezbaani name which is completely wrong irrespective of what they are doing for Shalini or are they trying to show Vikrant is mad because he believes Mannat went behind his back , she doesn't care for him, she doesn't have a place for him in her life like he himself said. What is bothering Vikrant more that Mannat doesn't care for him or Her leaking news

Like I said in my post also Vikrant is emotionally hurt. He was ready to put Mezbaani on the line also if Shalini said yes to file complaint. I don’t think he wanted to cover up like ARS and Punnu. He was ready to support Shalini. If you see from his POV that he respected Shalini’s decision because it will be a torture for Shalini to relive the trauma.

For me it’s his hurt is talking and taking toll on him. On top of that he has these feelings towards Mannat. Let’s be honest here he is bound to feel hurt because he thinks despite doing everything for her she went behind his back and called Media. I think he is more hurt because according to him she didn’t trust him enough to share this with him.

All of his frustration and hurt came through that anger.

Said this in another post, Mannat and Vikrant are so entangled, entwined with each other emotionally they don't see anything beyond. They cannot see each other upset whatever is the case and everything else is secondary. In this situation it's for the worse since the incident is not such that it can be secondary.

You can see this from the scene where Vikrant sees Mannat in the mirror in his room. For them it's a norm, They acted so normal, had an argument and Mannat left.
