No doubt that Deepika is dedicated to what she does…no laziness shown as it could happen with people born into the filmindustry

DP is not Alia, who got pregnant at 30 and had a baby and career to juggle at same time. DP became a mom at 40, she has been working for 20 years so she is taking a well deserved break from movies. So she might not be in hurry to lose all her weight. She doesnt have a crew waiting on her, Alia herself said i dont recommend it to new mothers but i had to lose weight because she was in middle of a movie.

Either way, i think its great that DP is slowly coming back to limelight and not completely staying away. I am sure she will do a movie or two in few years if its something good.

Her last best efforts were seen in 2015 and then I don’t know what happened. She was never the same again. Her career completely dwindled after that. It still doesn’t make sense to me because she was on such a career high prior to that. She wasted all of 2016. I wonder if the scripts she was given were so bad that she gave up on having any releases that year. I guess Alia was getting the best scripts like Kapoor and Sons. Udta Punjab, Raazi. Then in 2017 she packed her bags and head to Hollywood giving a low tier performance in XXX Xander cage. The phase post her trip to Hollywood has been shockingly disappointing. I don’t think her hearts in it.
