She's sent back by her partner and falls well short as Gardner makes a direct hit. End of the innings for India. Innings Break

India have been bowled out for 214. Very solid all-round display from the home side. Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur made good half-centuries and Kashvee Gautam struck very nicely at the back end but wickets fell at regular intervals. Megan Schutt had set the tone on her unexpected return with a wicket in the first over of the match. After that the success was shared around with Ash Gardner nipping in with three. It doesn't feel like enough of a target to challenge Australia; India will need a few early wickets to build pressure.

Jack: Just got home from work and it’s been a long wierd day today out in the Brisbane elements. Not easy conditions for cricket. Pitch might be harder than it looks from all respects as well. Over 200 might be a very tricky score to chase this evening.

On a pitch with a good deal of bounce, India have been bowled out for 214. They just weren't able to get too many partnerships going with the highest one being 53 between Harmanpreet and Kashvee for the seventh wicket. Kashvee batted really well actually, using the sweep shot to great effect to take them past 200. But apart from that partnership, and the fifty from Mandhana earlier, there wasn't much to take away from the Indian innings. Australia were disciplined with both seam and spin, and they enjoyed the conditions with the bounce that was there. Spinners extracted a fair bit of turn too, especially Alana King who gave it a rip. Let's see if India can return the favour.

Renuka Singh to Healy, FOUR, nicely played! Pitched up delivery around off, Healy leans ahead and presents the full face of the bat. Drives it beautifully past the dive of the mid-on fielder to find the fence.
