That's what I don't understand, why is Bisma emotionally and psychologically still binded with that house. She clearly hates them too. And I don't think Nashwa is emotionally or psychologically attached to this house either. She could have thought more rationally, taken someone advice or help, bur not taken such a huge decision on her own
This is the harsh reality of trauma and victim behavior. Years and decades of it. The real chains are psychological.
Nashwa didn’t even feel comfortable letting her mother go alone with Barkat and Bakhtiyar to her ex husband’s grave. She went with her mother as her protector. Despite knowing her daughter is not wrong, Bisma slaps her in front of everyone else. There is so much internalised oppression that Bisma does to herself which goes beyond her real oppressors. She silences herself and is comfortable remaining a ghost in that house. Rationality doesn’t come into the picture when survival is at stake.
Banaya tha na rational plan Nashwa ne. To say no to Ammar once her mother got married? Kya faida howa uss ka? Was Bakhtiyar going to let her mother do that without securing something in return FIRST? Of course not. Kachi goliyaan nahi kheli hain uss ne.
