This is not good Sony needs to do the right things about time! Promote properly!

If Sony TV started airing the golden-era episodes of CID (1998–2007) or the new episodes of CID Season 2 throughout the day just as they used to in the past, it would likely benefit both the channel and the show by significantly increasing viewership. However, the channel seems to be overly obsessed with Crime Patrol, airing it almost non-stop.

Moreover, Sony is delaying the actual telecast of CID S2 by 10–15 minutes, giving unnecessary extra airtime to Indian Idol. Yet, despite this, Indian Idol is failing to deliver impressive TRP ratings. Had they started CID 15 minutes earlier instead, the show could have performed far better than Indian Idol.

This was expected. The makers need to understand that no one really cares for or likes the dumb supernatural is a lie type episodes. CID is about investigation and the officers not about debunking superstition and myths. They need to concentrate on the type of episodes they showed this past weekend, not the previous few weekends.

I think the only thing they can do now is to make a multi-parter series to create suspense for the next episode because apart from that they have done everything. At its core, the show is the same. They've retained the core team, dialogue, and humor. They have also included so many fake supernatural episodes to attract the trp audience. Even the normal episodes are quite entertaining, so it is not on the makers; it is up to the channel to prioritize the show. They should telecast the episodes on time and focus on repeat telecasts.
