Part 3
A cold silence settled over the room.
The eerie glow of the laptop screen illuminated the cryptic message.
"Tum log jo bhi karlo, main ek aur khoon kar chuka hoon. Laash dhoondh lo, agar samay hai toh."
The weight of those words sent a ripple of tension through the ETF team. Arjun’s fists clenched. Another murder. Another victim. And yet, the wedding festivities outside continued—clueless to the storm brewing within.
Rathore’s voice was sharp. "Shree, can you trace the exact location of this message?"
Shree was already typing furiously. "Sir, yeh message abhi kuch second pehle send hua hai, lekin device ab disconnect ho chuka hai." His eyes narrowed as he studied the data. "Matlab jo bhi yeh kar raha hai, woh abhi bhi yahan hai… aur apna kaam khatam karke ja chuka hai."
Riya exhaled, tension coiling in her gut. "Matlab victim bhi yahin kahin hoga."
Arjun’s voice was like steel. "Laash dhoondhne ka waqt aa gaya hai."
Without another word, the ETF team split up, their mission clear: find the body before the murderer could slip away.

Riya moved quickly, her heels clicking against the marble floor as she searched for anything out of place. The wedding hall was massive, filled with guests, security, and endless decorations. The murderer had chosen a setting that was both grand and crowded—a perfect place to blend in.
As she turned a corner, she noticed something odd—a door slightly ajar, leading to a private lounge area.
Her instincts flared.
She reached for her gun, pushing the door open carefully.
And then—she saw it.
A woman in a royal blue saree lay slumped against the wall, her lifeless eyes staring at nothing. A delicate gold bracelet adorned her wrist, a deep red bindi still intact on her forehead. But the most chilling detail?
A single red rose placed beside her body.
A taunting signature.
Footsteps approached. Arjun.
He stepped in beside her, his sharp gaze taking in the scene. His jaw tightened. "Dusra murder."
Riya swallowed, forcing herself to remain focused. "Lagta hai ki killer hume ek pattern dikha raha hai." She gestured towards the rose. "Pehle ek high-profile NRI guest, ab ek well-dressed woman… aur dono ke paas ek rose."
Arjun crouched beside the body, his fingers hovering near the pulse point—already cold. "Murder recent hai." His eyes flickered to her wrist. "No defensive wounds. Lagta hai ki attack unexpected tha."
Rathore and the others rushed in moments later.
Dustin Coelho let out a sharp breath. "Ek aur murder? Aur sab kuch shaadi ke andar ho raha hai?" His voice held controlled anger.
"Looks like the killer enjoys playing games," Rathore said grimly.
Arjun’s gaze hardened. "Not for long."

Despite the grim investigation, the wedding still went on. The guests had no idea that two bodies had already been discovered within these walls.
Riya stepped away for a moment, feeling the need to gather her thoughts.
And then—
"Mil gayi! Riya, tum yahan ho!"
She turned to see Aarav, the same man who had danced with her earlier, jogging towards her with a charming smile.
"Arre, tum phir se investigation mode mein chali gayi? Ek dance aur karna hai?" he teased.
Riya blinked, caught off guard. "Uh… abhi nahi, Aarav."
Aarav pouted dramatically. "C’mon, thoda relax toh kar sakti ho! Waise bhi, tum sirf crime-solving ke liye nahi bani ho. Tum dance floor par bhi ekdum perfect lag rahi thi."
Riya chuckled, shaking her head. "Tum flirting ka moka nahi chhodte, na?"
"Jab saamne koi itni khoobsurat ho toh flirt karna banta hai." Aarav winked.
Just as he said that, a familiar presence loomed nearby.
Arjun.
He stood a few feet away, watching them with that sharp, unreadable expression. His eyes—dark, intense, and far too observant—remained locked onto Riya.
A muscle ticked in his jaw.
Then, in a low, almost lazy drawl, he spoke.
"Agar romance khatam ho gaya ho, toh wapas kaam par dhyan dena."
Riya turned sharply. "Excuse me?"
Arjun’s smirk was lethal. "Killer yahan mauj le raha hai aur tum… flirting kar rahi ho?"
Riya narrowed her eyes. "Main flirting nahi kar rahi thi."
Arjun tilted his head, pretending to think. "Oh? Toh phir yeh kya tha? Investigation ka naya tareeka?"
Aarav, sensing the undercurrent of tension, decided to step back. "Uh, mujhe… kuch urgent kaam yaad aaya. Milte hain, Riya." And he disappeared.
Riya exhaled sharply. "Aapko koi problem hai, sir?"
Arjun stepped closer—too close. His gaze burned into hers.
"Mujhe sirf un cheezon se problem hoti hai jo mera waqt waste karti hain." His voice was quiet, but every word hit its mark.
Riya clenched her jaw. "Matlab main aapka waqt waste kar rahi hoon?"
Arjun smirked, eyes glinting with something unreadable. "Agar tumhe prove karna hai ki nahi karti… toh chalo mere saath. Ek lead mili hai."
Riya stared at him. "Aap itne sarcastic kyun hain?"
Arjun’s smirk deepened. "Aur tum itni ziddi kyun ho?"
She had no answer to that.
And so, biting back another retort, she followed him.

Shree finally cracked the encrypted messages on the laptop.
"Sir, yeh messages ek aur guest ke phone ke through relay ho rahe the!"
Rathore tensed. "Kiska phone?"
Shree’s fingers flew over the keyboard. A name popped up on the screen.
Aarav Mehta.
Riya’s stomach dropped. "Wait… Aarav? The guy I was just talking to?"
Arjun’s expression darkened dangerously. "Haan. Aur ab woh kahaan hai?"
Silence.
Then—realization struck.
Aarav had excused himself just a few minutes ago.
Arjun turned on his heel. "Woh bhaag raha hai. Chalo!"
The chase was on.
The ETF team raced through the wedding hall, pushing past oblivious guests. Outside, the parking lot was in chaos as a black sedan screeched to life—Aarav behind the wheel.
Arjun didn’t hesitate. He pulled out his gun.
BANG!
A perfect shot—right at the car’s tire.
The sedan swerved violently, spinning out of control before crashing into a pillar.
The team rushed forward, weapons drawn.
Aarav stumbled out, his hands raised in surrender, eyes wild with panic. "Ruko! Ruko! Main—main bata sakta hoon!"
Arjun grabbed his collar. "Tere pas bas ek moka hai. Sach bol."
Aarav swallowed hard. And then—
"I… I didn’t kill them! Main sirf messages forward kar raha tha!"
Riya’s breath caught. "Toh asal killer kaun hai?"
Aarav’s lips trembled. And then, in a broken whisper, he said a name.
A name that sent shockwaves through the team.
And before he could say another word—
A single gunshot rang through the night.
Aarav gasped—his eyes widened in horror.
And he collapsed.
Dead.
The real killer had just silenced him.
And now, they were back to square one.
