I particularly loved the pre nullity phase of Runak, coz Ani felt the haq of a husband and exercised it to make Jhanak do things which may be beneficial for her in one way or the other..the decree of nullity somehow made him less confident to ask her to do things haq se unlike the earlier times...then with every passing day, Jhanak had butchered his confidence further with constantly shaming and bashing for his care for her..aur aaj Ani aisi jagah aake pohucha hai where he lacks confidence to stand for things he used to do dahaad se..what he was when Jhanak was in his life and what he has become when Jhanak is no more a part of his life..💔
It was a twofold thing....Ani gave Jhanak many opportunities to demand her rights but she always shut him down even before the annulment. Once the annulment was signed, then also she gaslighted Ani as if he was the one eager to sign the annulment when infact Jhanak showed eagerness to sign it and was even goading Ani to sign it when he was hesitating. And yes, after the annulment was signed, Ani no longer felt the confidence to jamaao previous levels of haq on Jhanak.....uske baad se he's just been trapped in endless cycles of almost shaadi with Arshi, then pregnancy bomb and finally real shaadi.....all of these things were done so that Jhanak is able to preach her fake moral righteousness some more and shame him for showing any care towards her.
Now that has become the established narrative that Ani is a cheater who is married to Arshi but still loves Jhanak, still shows care for her and he must be shamed anytime he shows any concern for Jhanak. Everyone conveniently forgets how things got to this point....via a Jhanak who rejected all offers to claim her rights and made proclamations about how it would be LAALCHI to ask for her rights and she can't bear Didi ke taunts to her so Ani must live with Didi only.....and also via an Arshi who was content being in a live-in rishta for so long and pretending that made Ani her husband....lol and now is content being in a marriage she trapped Ani into and where she only gets scraps of pity from him while he still continues to tell everyone ki uske dil mein Jhanak hi rahegi humesha.....lol
