It isn't. Which is why it was called out even in the show. Had it been pure, they would never have had Vidya know about Shivani from the start. They would never have maybe even brought back Shivani from the dead. They wanted to show that step mother's can not just be manipulative, but also extremely selfish. That is why every character, including her own very son, call her out for her actions. No one except for Kaveri has condoned what Vidya has done. Even if she wants to maintain a holier than thou attitude, even she knows that she has absolutely no ground to stand on when it comes to Armaan, Abhira or Shivani. While I would like to belive that they don't plan to WW Vidya, I am still happy that even in the show, she is not able bechari naati, but someone who willingly exploited a little child, just so that she could have a relationship with her husband and his family

Everyone in the Phouse and otherwise is predicting the Poddars doom & till that happens, this track cannot conclude
