i hope he doesn't quit. i sense channel interference going on based on things are shaping up & not such an impressive trp right now. smiley24

overall, i didn't like kavya's electrocution like she could've faced even worser outcome than this.

maan-doree scenes also feel like filler scenes despite being light-hearted. but maan's assistant teasing him was funny. smiley36

i can see why amar had a creative difference with the makers. its just a fillerish tracks.

I agree that some scenes might feel filler-ish, but the makers are probably building for Maan-Doree to come together because Ganga is their trump card for separation- he is the one person for whom D will leave or misunderstand M even if they've fallen in love.

Good or bad, the D-M scenes have created a fair bit of interest in the serial- you can already see it from the reels being created, the increased viewership on YT for promos and the discussions on the hashtag on Twitter.

That would probably not have been possible if the serial remained Ganga centric, and it's just the way things are in a youth dominated internet world. A middle-aged man's story doesn't really bring viewers on ITV.

And it's somewhat showing in the TRP's, which started at 0.6, but have moved to 0.8/0.9 types since it started to show increased Doree Maan interaction.

Amar was also apparently shortlisted for Rahil's role in Anupamaa, but he gave that up for Doree, and that might be a major reason for his frustration.

Yes, they are fillerish but they are building up Maan and Doree. But I hope they would concentrate more on some deeper stuff. Doree needs to bond with Surender. Doree needs to know more about dynamics of the house. Maan needs go know the depth of Ganga and Doree's relationship. And also her dynamics with Anand and Paro. That might open his eyes That not all blood relationships are pure and sacred.

@ bold- somewhat surprisingly, they haven't touched on this, but I thought they would.

In the first D-M confrontation scene (before she gets sent to jail), he literally talks of Ganga being Doree's blood as the reason she believes in him not being the murderer.

Anand I think mentions that he is Doree's father when Paro and he lie.

I thought Maan would then question and ask who D who her actual father was. Maybe not in that immediate scene, but a day or so later.

Doree-Surender will come when talk of that saree business' operations come into play. That Zaan mock test scene probably confirms it.

D I think already has an inkling of the dynamics of the house- that they kinda love Maan (but exploit him in their own way) and barely tolerate his father.

Speaking of whom, the actors playing Maan's father and his uncle are pretty seasoned ones, but even they have lesser screen space than Amar (especially the uncle!)

That uncle is a well known Marathi and Hindi tv actors. Maan's father is Sanjay Swaraj, another seasoned actor. Ayub Khan was earlier supposed to play this role.

The Uncle is shown blind to have Dhritarashtra parallel. Rajnandini and Deep are Duryodhana and Dushashan. Thays why Rajnandini asks Deep to disrobe Paro. Maan is Arjun and Doree is Shri Krishna, who will guide him through these toxic relationships. When Doree entered the Thakur Haveli for the first time, Daadi was telling Maan the story of Krishna and Arjun. They have thought about all this, I guess they want TRPs to reach a certain point before they execute this.

Yeah, they do have the spark. It's just, it;s kinda too much to see Rn & despo kavya so much. Like, the scene where Doree figures that Maan is naive person, etc like those types of scenes were nice. More in depth exploration is imperative.

I'm hoping Amar doesn't join that Anupama show knowing how erratically the PH & actors function.

See, these types of scenes that you guys are mentioning have more weight than the constant RN/Kavya plotting. I know Rn is the major villain but makers should allow more of such scenes & Rn's plotting attempts being intertwined thereby creating a better storyline b/c the kitchen riwaz politics felt fillerish like typical EK show vibes.

The scene where Rn tries to figure the reality behind the marriage was nice but felt Kavya was useless over there. (maybe b/c the way the actress playing Kavya can do better in terms of acting). smiley24smiley36Khair, its the makers who have the ultimate call so hopefully someone steps in to play Ganga or makers focus on the court case, Doree and Maan bonding with other characters etc. Even Shubhi not shown. smiley5

Rahil Azam is getting popular for that role. Don't think they will change now. And that role was done by Sachin Tyagi earlier in Gen 2. Ganga's role is Amar's own.

That PH has only gained notoriety for hiring-and-firing actors so I hope this PH and Amar can come to some solution.
