Yeah it's a patriarchal society. So people are obviously going to prefer a movie called DISHOOM , that's about cops motorcycles and cricketers over a desi version of Sex and the City where women swear ,drink ,masturbate and say no to marriage. The former brings in more money so they'd be paid more. I love buddy movies and I love chick flicks but VDW was disappointing. Nice concept but terrible writing like it was put together by a teen. The actresses looked very awkward . Even then it did okay and the success was only because of Kareena's presence. Nobody should be paying Sonam anything. I personally like her on screen even when it's a horrible movie but pulling a ' wider audience'? Delusional.

And the same deepika padukone is being a side kick in these male stars movies..what an irony

First of all sonam conveniently is categorizing herself in same league as kareena by constantly saying we we we..kareena is miles ahead and VDW was also primarily running on her starpower than hers and sonam's as sonam likes to believe.

Secondly, deepika padukone being this female star who deserves the money coz she brings in the audience was a very well curated PR strategy which was made almost believable back in late 2010s but she got totally exposed when she dared to do a movie on her shoulders and presently we all know where she is standing..

Gehraiyaan was released on OTT and her face was disfigured in Chhapaak. These are not movies that attract wider audiences. As a Deepika fan myself, even I wouldn't go to the cinema to watch Chhapaak because her face is disfigured

Also, Ekta hit her where it hurts Sonam hates Deepika more than I dislike Alia + Deepika + RS + RK all together
