Before you read,
This is strictly for die-hard and loyal fans of Pale Blue Dot...our fellow PBDians ... I've been working on this since December 13 2023 and finally completed it a few days ago. This is my surprise for all my fellow PBDians and... of course... for Jahnavi Dii
Now, why is this exclusively for PBDians? Because only true PBD lovers will fully grasp the meaning of these verses and the emotions behind them
A little note- I sincerely apologize for skipping a few chapters after the part where Jalal reprimands Jodha in front of the entire office. That scene was just too much... I actually wrote for every chapter.. but ended up removing some stanzas because I felt I couldn’t do justice in capturing their full essence
I included verses on the property matter and the murderer, reflecting the conversation between Usmaan and Jalal. After that, I jumped straight to the Chickpet track where Jodha goes missing for five hours (hehe, classic PBD chaos)
I’ve also skipped some of the more recent chapters… especially the confession. Because, honestly? That part was way too overwhelming... Every single line, every single word felt so significant that I just couldn't sum it up properly
So, in short...I’ve skipped quite a few chapters, but I hope you enjoy whatever I have written !!! Happy reading, and please do drop a few words about all the effort that went into this Hehe.
Also, read this when you're free and alone, with nothing else on your mind...like a flashback. Here you go -
PALE BLUE DOT - A POETIC JOURNEY (to be continued)
A speck we are in the endless sky
Yet dreams take flight, and hopes soar high
"Pale blue dot" she whispered, light yet strong
A lesson to carry, a life to belong.
A letter arrived, inked in care
"Jodha, life is vast...don’t despair."
A brother’s words, a guiding light
Yet fate had plans that stole the night.
Sun, sand, and wishes at dawn
"May your life be as crazy as our Indian home!"
Laughter echoes, villains we play
Barbeque, gossip...Goa’s our stage today..
Moon fades, waves hum soft tune,
A voice drifts, lost in the dunes.
"ee indrajalanni..."...a song, a step, a thorn
Two strangers met... but no names were sworn.
A glance, a moment, yet no name
Two paths crossed, yet none laid claim.
She left, he stayed, unaware
That destiny had set its snare...
Pink scooty, no way, gotta find it fast !!!
"Because my brother loves pink!"....left the salesman aghast.
A scooty chase, city round and round.
But life’s lessons came in softer tone
"Certain deeds can never be undone, Meenu."
Badepapa smiled, a surprise in view.
Peacock blue, laughter bright, a night so sound...
Till "Kya AP 28 CG 2556 aapki gaadi hain?" spun her world around...
"Accident!"...the word, it stole her breath
Hands shook, world turned quiet as death.
"Gautham, where are you?"...a whisper, a plea
But only silence... and memories to see.
Silent phone, a call she missed
"You thought I was crying?"...she teased, lips twist.
Gas in the air, a spark could ignite,
A second late… and she'd lose the fight.
New city, new job, all set to explore...
But why's my name popular...what’s the lore?
A storm outside, rain danced wild...
A sketch, a gift, two kids smiled.
"Is this the layout?" - a voice so deep
A stranger stood, his gaze did seep.
"Yes" she said, eyes full of doubt
"And the final draft?"...he spun about.
"In my system"...short, precise,
"how much time to submit for all floors?" his tone like ice.
"Fourteen days, just two hours more"
She shot back, like keeping score.
"Then we meet at 2:30 sharp"
He smirked...his stare was dark.
"If an associate can barge right in,
Why not the MD, Miss Jodha?"
The voice and gaze so bold
MD?? Oh damn!...wish I'd been told.
"So, how do you find Regal, is it as enchanting as NCC?"
A soothing voice, a teasing smirk...uff, she could see!1!!
"Yes! So far so good" she tried to stay cool
But damn, he noticed...her panic, the fool
"Mr Jalal" then "Sir!"...then, oops..."Thank you!"...too late
His smirk just said.."I don’t mind to be called by my name."
"Divorcing for petty issues" she sighed, voice sharp
"Might work for THOSE high-profile brats"...a casual remark, but...
The air shifted. A glance through the door, his stare like steel
Misread words, a wound unmeant, yet it cut real.
"Hot, handsome, multi-talented, rich"...they teased
"So what if he’s divorced?"...laughter squeezed.
"I’m not that bad to go after a divorcee!"...a firm retort
Office buzzed, laughter high
Tandoori love, a teasing sigh.
"Would you like some?"...a fork held tight,
A stolen glance, cheeks burn bright.
"Nazar utaar liya!"...drama unfolds
And even he chuckled ... his smirk untold
Pink scooty, lucky ride
Brake screeched, she slipped, scraped side.
"Meeting's first" she waved away care
Bloodied knee, but no time to spare.
Lost phone, torn dress, time ticking fast
No calls, no scooty...luck didn't last.
late, breathless, ran to find Mohan,
"met with accident" words half broken.
boss’s glare, words cut like knives,
ugh, stupid tears, but still, she survives.
Martini cold, but mind still burning,
her excuse? maybe, maybe not...keeps turning.
she types, he fumes, night won’t rest
but why she matters - he never confessed.
Motnhs passed, yet echoes remained
Of dreams once shared and love unnamed.
She built walls, crafted in stone
Yet he arrived...unshaken, known.
A father’s land, a deal unsigned...
A tragedy spun, truth misaligned.
A crash, a loss, a cruel disguise
Yet answers hid in shadowed ties.
Then came he, with knowing eyes
Questions masked in soft replies.
A teasing word, a fleeting stare,
A game begun....
In stolen moments, silence spoke
In midnight hours, the past awoke.
A home once filled, now echoes bare,
Yet in his gaze, she found repair.
Five hours late, storm brews in his chest,
fingers twitch, phone dead, Chickpet whispers...fear claws.
WHERE.WERE.YOU?...words like fire, railing trembles, not her.
She flinches, he freezes...was it rage or was it worry?
Later, soft steps, ice cubes, teasing eyes..."Enough space, sir?"
One touch, one pull...God, she tastes like relief.
Breaths tangled, fears melt, her toes curl..
"Dare you leave me again, Jo…" but he seals it with a kiss.
Passing clouds and whispered dreams,
a kiss on her head, fate’s quiet schemes.
Gold chain slips, a silent vow,
her heart races - married now?
Auto speeds, the world blurs fast,
Jodha’s eyes twinkle..this thrill won’t last.
Jaguar keys for a three-wheel ride,
Jalal sighs, but sits by her side.
Honks scream, the dust clouds rise,
"Boss, you look stylish!"...she grins, he sighs
Auto sways, laughter spills,
"BASHA BHAIII "...her joy instills.
Jaguar keys for a three-wheel ride
Now he’s a superstar, her teasing pride.
Traffic stops, a cop's keen sight
His friends won’t let this die tonight.
A sari draped in golden light
Threads of memory, soft yet bright.
His gift, his choice...how did he know?
Maa’s touch, in silk’s soft glow.
Fingers tremble, heart beats wild
Eyes meet his...so fierce, so mild.
Didn't like the gift?
"No, you fool" she pulls him near,
Kisses...left, then right...
A sari of silk, a thread of fate,
A whisper of love, a story innate.
“Why this one?” she asks, eyes so wide
He shrugs, says softly, “I felt it would suit you”
A mother’s memory, a color so true
A heart once lost, found in peacock blue.
“Meenu” he calls, her breath takes flight,
A name, a promise, a love wrapped tight.
TVAMEVA SARVAM MAMA DEVA DEVA
She traced the soles, fingers light
"Where was I? Oh yes, pleading my case"
A whispered thought in the hush of night...
A tear unseen, lost in fate’s embrace.
"You might think I’m a clinger, weak"
Her voice wavered, small yet meek.
"But please don’t disown me, I’ve nowhere to go"
A kiss to his toes sealed the vow below.
You’re not just his’, you’re my anchors too!
Through scars and loss, through truths concealed...
A story of love was yet revealed.
And in the hush of life’s embrace,
Two souls had found their destined place.
