According to SH review, the only 2 people who benefited from SMD were Shahvir and Hira (for her styling and looks which she hasn't had the opportunity to showcase in any drama before).

It is still trending at 10 in India ...damn...Wahaj's popularity here is no joke. If only he finally signs a show with a great script, hoping the Mahira one will be that show which gets him back to his peak.

According to SH reviews Bilal and zaviyar are only characters saved in mess. Also a lot of praise for Wahaj style, Amna included him in top styles for year 2024 and even they have praised his acting a lot inspite of pathetic script. Hope he gets better script in his upcoming drama.

Many dramas have such scenes as pointed by someone else already. I guess Maya didn’t add usama as he himself deleted all posts related to SMD as though he isn’t in drama anymore. And obsession and fame will be there for famous actor, it’s normal in any industry else this kind of drama will just had been away from discussion long back.

No. In this last episode review, her view of BA had changed. I think they liked his cktr in the beginning and the styling they only liked in E19 for the wedding episode. Sherry was the one Aamna had praised for styling throughout the series but Wahaj was only praised for styling for the wedding episode. She said in this review she couldn't connect with BA either. Even Hassan made no positive comments about BA like he used to. They did say that Zaviyar was the only cktr that made sense till the end. Humsha's cktr they said made no sense but her styling and look was on point throughout and showed her in a way she wasn't seen before.

You can think whatever you want but the many pakistani neutrals around me who watch ptv, BA made no impact as a cktr neither from an aesthetic, nor performance, nor character or story point of view. People who thought the cktr has potential earlier lost interest once the show did nothing with him.

If Aamir gives a disaster like TOH, if Prabhas gives a disaster like Adipurush, people will talk.

This show was a train wreck on another level. This was an A tier show. A tier shows may have 2 3 really bad things going for it but they also have 2 3 really good things too. People hated Animal for the misogyny but from direction, music, acting perspective, it was still very good. SMD just failed in every single department from writing to direction to editing to pacing to acting to marketing to lighting to music to sound design to camera work. Most importantly it was slow, boring and lacked entertainment.

I have been watching ptv for decades and I have not seen an A tier show that was this poorly made. If it was only toxic and misogynistic, but was otherwise highly entertaining and gripping with dynamic cktrs and storyline, it would have still won over people. What viewers cannot abide is boring.

As a Krq show, I expected misogyny so that's not even MY problem with the show. I was expecting some level of dysfunctional people and toxic relationships anyways. MY problem with smd is everything else which I was NOT expecting - the awful and creatively bankrupt direction and complete lack of vision, the overacting, the slomo dialogue delivery and long pauses, the awful editing, the slow stretched pacing, the snoozeworthy ost and horror/suspense/noir bgm, the false marketing, the weak dialogues, the ridiculous english, lack of character development and poor script ki bunai, the overdose of sadaf/ammar/dania/humsha, lack of ss and one-dimensionality to bilal abdullah, glum lighting and filters, the unflattering camera angles, the weird tonality, the overall lack of entertainment and hook.

Other than a few scenes which I liked and felt they had emotional resonance, that Baig house was shot somewhat differently, and a few styling choices here and there, nothing was commendable about this show for me. Show me another A tier project that was so bad on so many fronts.

It's trending at 8 in India for me rn and on 17 in yt pakistan. Before this episode, smd had trended on yt pakistan like 1 or 2 times at max.

Wahaj will bounce back, I am sure. Mahira and Haissam and Faiza together for his next gives me hope.
