Armaan - So Armaan finally decided to cross the bridge that separated him from the rest of his family. There were 2 things that differentiated him from the rest of his family; he was genuinely a good person and most importantly never intentionally planned or schemed to hurt anyone.

There’s a reason why death-bed confessions and promises are taken so seriously, because they are considered to be true and honest when a person is at their most vulnerable stage. There’s also a reason why teachers play such an important role in a person’s life, the knowledge and the guidance they give you stays with you in your life. Armaan respected Akshara so much that even after years of his education, he couldn’t forget his most respected teacher. Despite the circumstance, Armaan consciously made a promise to a mother in her death-bed to protect her daughter and to help fulfill a mother’s dream of making her daughter a lawyer. Even after the deal marriage revelation, Armaan wanted to make sure Abhira was in a safe place and wanted to ensure she got a job to support herself, which is what made him a decent human being. The day he schemed to sabotage the livelihood of another human being and dishonor the final wishes of a mother, he stopped being a decent human being. The day he let a woman get purposefully humiliated for no fault of hers and turned his back and stood watching a woman being treated in the worst possible way, he crossed the bridge that until now separated him from his unscrupulous family. There’s a fine line between anger and revenge; you can be angry with a person you love, but you only take revenge with a person you hate. The day Armaan decided to take revenge on his wife on a false charge, he crossed the line of decency.

Armaan made a conscious decision to choose Abhira; be it leaving Ruhi at the altar; or choosing to leave the house; or decide to marry Abhira even after knowing how much his family and mainly Vidya was against this marriage. Interestingly he compared his mother to the sky which is constant and Abhira to a moon which fades and is inconsistent, signifying the relevance of her place in his life. This is also the second time he has called Abhira majboori when he said he ran to her out of compulsion of love. One character trait that has been consistent with Armaan is his complete lack of self-awareness as to how his actions would impact other’s lives, which is understandable because he has always been shown to make emotional decisions and repent later. Agreed he has regretted every wrong decision, but he doesn’t seem to realize how much he is compromising his marriage and his relationship with Abhira in his decisions. Behind his every decision, Abhira who he claims to still love is the one who has been most hurt. A person sees real growth in life when they recognize their own shortcomings and actively work on it, otherwise it’s just a never-ending cycle. Armaan has placed himself in a situation of his own making once more under the pretext of keeping Vidya happy. Only this time, he should be really prepared for the heartbreak he chose, accept the results of his actions, and most of all be ready to let Abhira go completely if he still fails to realize where he went wrong.

Abhira - her biggest strength is her ability to understand other’s pain and POV. This is also her biggest weakness; in her quest to understand others she prioritizes her own pain last. Be it her medical report, post marriage or baby truth, after her initial reaction she tried to understand where Armaan was coming from, but her biggest mistake is she never questioned Armaan why she ends up paying the most for each of his mistakes. After every misunderstanding, be it when Armaan went mute on her for 3 months or after the baby truth when she was on the verge of going back, she failed to hold him accountable for the assurance that their relationship status didn’t depend on his family’s whims.

Abhira too made a conscious choice that she is willing to sacrifice even her dignity for Armaan and tolerate all the insults and humiliation. It is ironic that Abhira tolerated everything for Armaan because in her heart she believes Armaan is a good person, devoid of malice, but is she ready to accept this new reality of Armaan, a man who is willing to even compromise his ethics and morals for his family. Abhira needs to recognize herself now more than ever as to what she has become as a result of this relationship. Her own dream has always been to be a honest lawyer like her mom, but she is anything but that now. She needs to look herself in the mirror and see that she didn’t hesitate to take the illegal route in her desire to get back into Armaan’s life. She needs to analyze what matters to her; a husband who might never give her a stable place in his life or a life where she has the freedom to live by her choice and make her own mistakes, but also has the opportunity to learn from them. If this time she fails to address the reasons for the failures in this relationship and goes back like previous times, then she should also accept that she only has herself to blame for how her life turned out.

It looks like the makers are starting a new triangle. One thing they need to understand is if they still plan to revive this ship, this is the last chance they have got, because one more debacle is definitely going to sink this ship worse than titanic.
