Finally had a chance to watch the first episode of the weekend.

Gems:

  1. Digigramm smiley37 Kya kya naye naam banane parte hain to get around copyright issues. smiley37
  2. Kyun ki mere paas science hai. smiley37 I had a sudden need to see him and ACP sir doing the Deewar pose while saying that. smiley37
  3. Abhijeet pen hai? Gun hai. smiley37 Then Dr. Salunkhe mocking Abhijeet. smiley37

Issues/questions:

  1. Why does no one immediately question or point out that the voice note could be pre-recorded? Or that maybe it isn't Viren's voice?
  2. Did they actually verify the identities of the dead bodies or are they just presuming that they are Viren, Sid, and Anuj? I know it's a small thing, but from my vast experience in crime and thrillers (reading and watching them not doing them mind you smiley36) any time the face or body is disfigured in some way, it typically means that the body is trying to be given a different name or that the identity is trying to be hidden.
  3. The focus on how people got out of the villa. You do realize that the villa is literally the only building on the island. And for god's sake, how do you know that there aren't any tunnels or stuff if you haven't checked? The first time they saw Nikki go into the villa but not leave, they should have been examining the villa for other entrances not covered in CCTV.
  4. What happened to that new male officer? I don't remember his name. They showed him for 1 episode and then he disappeared.

The good:

  1. The actors playing the characters each episode are much better. I'm very impressed with this new PH. They are going all out to ensure that every part is as good as possible.
  2. The opening to the episode also. Man, that bg score and the reveal of the bodies. Kudos to whoever wrote the storyboard of this episode. It hooks you in immediately. smiley32
  3. I said this for last weekend's episodes as well and I repeat it. I am very glad to see the focus on investigation and forensics. Yes the chemical and drug names are all fake, but the fact that they are showing so much concentration on these areas is nice to see.
  4. The tie-in between Rohit's suicide and Viren, Anuj, and Sid's murder was nicely done.
  5. I will say this new bureau is starting to grow on me. It's spacious and the blue and white contrast in everything is a nice touch.
  6. The motive for the murder and, in fact even the murderer, was a big surprise. The plan was very well executed as well.

Overall verdict: I give this episode a 4 out of 5. It was a good one. I had a few small issues and there was a small leap in the investigation that didn't make sense, but still a very good episode overall.

I like the episode, but there's almost no fighting scenes, no chase scenes. The og cid was all about 10 mins of dhissom Dishoom and bhagam bhag and then 2 mins of daya beating the shit out of goons. Do you guys also want to see more of fight scenes ?

Nah those chase sequences kind of got repetitive , this format is good.

A genuine question though... Ladki drainage pipe se andar ghusi; murder kiye; aur phir wapas chali gayi.

Idhar tak toh theek hai...

But who the hell closed the drain and then put all that garbage stuff/boxes and all stuff to hide the drain entrance after she left?? Villa mein koi helpful Butler ghost hai kya clean-up karne ke liye?? smiley23

I thought she must've closed the pipe before leaving through the tunnel but she just jumped......who closed the damn thing?smiley37

The episode was really good....they could've just avoided giving the names of the drugs altogether than coming up with such funny names.....in one of the episodes of season 1 they kept on saying Larsenic instead of Arsenic eventhough they've used the proper term in old episodes smiley37

IDK how they missed such a giant drinage pipe when they were hunting for clues in the house

I thought that Sheena killed them but it turned out to be Viren's gf

"Rohit ke maut ka kisse gham tha" ouch that was harsh :( but finally we have a cold blooded killer who only cared about herself

I loved that Villa and the new bureau , the production quality has been upped massively this season

Precap gave me murder by marriage episode vibes....mast episode tha with lots of funny moments

4 log baarat mein goli hawa mein chala di

Dhulla mar jaata hai

Dhulle ke papa ke paas jo gun tha ussi se khoon hua....and thar dad proudly says that it was an old model gun and he showed it to every guest

ACP ; Puri duniya ko gun dhika dismiley37

That song for which Salunkhe danced in the precap reminded me of KUDCA's bgm

I'm going to watch ep 6 now

What i meant was that the premise of ep 6 reminded me of the episode "murder by marriage" in season 1

There were a few funny moments in that episode

KUDCA stands for kyun utthe dil chhod aaye which aired in sony tv , the bgm of that showwas simillar to the tune in which Salunkhe was dancing
