The relationships are sweet and wholesome. We’ve had plenty shows set in villages which do well ratings wise. That can’t be it either. Also romance IS developing and there’s a lot of sweet heart to heart interactions between the leads going side by side. I love this about the show how it’s evolving this relationship every week.

Better to compare the 3 mini series together. If it’s doing better than MJ and Nadaan in terms of ratings then maybe it’s not so bad.

Both MJ & Nadaan had A list ML. MJ avg TRP was 4.5 & Nadaan 5.6. In case of Nadaan it was aired when Jafaa was getting high TRPs, & that might have helped Nadaan. So I would say Saturday slot mini series, no A list ML & Jafaa's negative impact are the 3 main reasons behind its low TRP.

mj was up against noor jahan & JN. nadaan was up against mj & JN.tmnon is up against ghair and mehshar. even by miniseries standards, tmnon should be doing better because the slot is less competitive than it was for mj and nadaan.

also how would jafa on fri help nadan saturday. in fact jafaa had most hype when mj was on air. by this logic, zpkb and qej on sun would have given acs high ratings.

sehar's shows have done well in the past that she can pull viewers on her own so having shuja is not an excuse. i think the male rape storyline might have turned away some viewers.

Is competitive slot even a real thing or just a theory? We have seen ARY shows drop ratings many times with no increase in ratings of Geo or Hum at the same time. Just because less people tune in on one channel doesn’t automatically make them tune in to other channel. Maybe they just don’t watch anything that day or switch on Netflix lol

A lot of times I feel ratings are just independent of one another. If the drama clicks it clicks, people will watch it no matter which A lister is on the other channel. For example if SMD actually could work, Bismil’s ratings wouldn’t have mattered. It would have found its audience

It just means a show has more POTENTIAL to raise its TRP if it's not a competitive slot. If a show cannot capitalize on this OPPORTUNITY, it just means that it failed to attract "free" viewers. But some shows do manage to tap into this potential. When JN and ZPKB used to compete, ZPKB had lower TRPs but when JN was no longer on Sunday and was replaced by Ishq Hua (and later the slot was free), ZPKB's TRPs increased. So ZPKB managed to divert viewers to itself when the slot became less competitive.

Jafaa was continuously getting 8, 9, 12, or even 13 TRPs when Nadaan was on air. Would all those who were continuously watching Jafaa on Fridays, not Ghair, have watched Ghair on Saturday? Some of them would have continued with Hum TV on Saturdays as they didn't see Ghair on Fridays. And that's how a high rating of Jafaa might have helped Nadaan. But when TMNON goes on air, Jafaa's rating again fell to 6s, and so that didn't help TMNON.

Aur log Mehshar nahi dekh rahe iska matlab ye nahi ke wo Hum tv dekhne lag jayenge. Jafaa ki high trp uske high YT views ke wajah se thi, jese hi Jaan Nisar end hua Jafaa ki TRP bad gayi aur YT views kam ho gaye.
