Read all the updates. The story is in past and present. Maan family seems to be modern in Outlook but orthodox in mind and behavior. They want to control the DIL. Surprisingly the grandmother helped her husband to bring the family business to great heights but she thinks the DIL only should worki in NGO. The family refused to accept Arjun wife and did not allow them to live with the family. Maan seems to man who listens to whatever his mother says whether good or bad who in turn is ruled by his grandmother. Geet is presently divorced with two children and Maan comes to stay with them for a week. Maan parents are trying to get him remarried. Surprised Maan being educated does not want his wife to be independent.
