You may find it disgusting but he states the hard facts...it's the "market value" that counts, not the amount of work an actress puts into her work...but still, when he talks about the crew, I suppose that also woman directors get less pay from the producers then a male one and also the same for ADs etc.

Well, yeah! An actor's remuneration is a cut of the returns they can guarantee for the film at the BO.

It is all about star power. You give them a 100 cr opening, they will pay you 40-50 crores happily, whether you are a male or female.
