Even the audience clapped when he twirled her and it didn't look lifeless or calculated. It just seemed like a fun walk together -- total ASA vibes!

Anmol walked well also. Nothing awkward. She looks confident.

Even if anmol and Usama forget everything and moved on, people won't forget smiley37

I actually like Anmol and Usama better together. Before ASA, they had two or three projects together and I have watched them. Both were rather green and not necessarily great acting. Plus, the characterization was kind of off but still they had good chemistry. It made sense why ASA felt right because they seemed to have a sense of comfort where they could vibe off each other easily. However, Usama had to open his mouth and ruin it. 🤦‍♀️

For sure, he is kicking himself as I don't see him having any of that same kind of easy chemistry with other actors in the few dramas I took a peek in.

And anmol went on to have good chemistry with other costars. Now she and ali are painting the town red smiley37

Ali and her have good chemistry but in terms of acting, I feel like he is still rather green. His expressions in some key scenes are not strong. At the same time, the writing here is really cheesy wattapad teenage nonsense. What we need is a strong man-woman chemistry to sell this love story whereas I don't feel it. I generally catch up on this drama when I have finished with whatever else I have. I still haven't gotten around to watching this week's episodes yet as I don't feel any sense of urgency on what madness will come around. There is no curiousity really.

One of my favourite ASA scenes is this one where he is waiting to take her on the date and then time freezes for him as he is absolutely gobsmacked by how beautiful she looks. You can actually seem him gulp and stammer out some words and then actually shake his head to clear his brain.

That is the kind of chemistry and storytelling romance I wanted. These are two adults.

Not Shaw hiding from a far away window and taking clicks secretly like a stalker while she is wandering around very weirdly like a 70s/80s heroine and dancing like she is airheaded fairy when Mehru has a super practical streak. Instead, we alternate between two teenagers in Iqtidar at times.

Alan fans aren't gonna let anyone forget with whom anmol looks the best with smiley36

Come on, shit happens, and people move on. Life’s too short to hold grudges over some non-existent drama. Their endless "follow, unfollow, like, dislike" circus has been going on for ages, nothing to do with fame, but because they just can’t seem to act like grown-ups around each other.smiley36

Asa is a better executed drama with better direction, writing and budget but I like the chemistry with ali better. Ali and anmol have a more power couple vibe than Usama and anmol. Anmol also looks more comfortable with ali onscreen. Ali surely is green and iqtidar is his first lead role but if we compare usama's first few dramas to Ali's then ali is far better and have more screen presence.

I agree Iqtidar has no strong script. But Mehru and Shano's chemistry is amazing. I am not that thinking viewer. It is ok for me to enjoy a teenage lovestory. In fact such simple love stories between 2 young not polished persons attract me more than mature love stories.. When one of the lovers in a faulted character it makes it even more interesting, as it gives a feeling of a forbidden love. smiley2

100% ASA was well-written and better executed. I think what I am missing here is the look -- if you know what I mean where a guy looks at a girl and we are all swooning over that gaze. That is the hallmark of desi TV and that is missing for me. Ali does not know quite how to execute that. Instead, many of his actions don't sell that he is a grown up adult with some plan. His eyes aren't calculative enough. It is also possible that Ali has no idea what the character as Shaw is even thinking but basically his expressions are not showing that complex look of confusion, calculation, manipulation, affection as well as attraction -- that was essentially what Iqtidar should have been. Then I would have tuning in and posting all sorts of comments. Right now, the drama is selling itself on chemistry and it is ok enough watch for me. I am pretty sure that I will forget the drama after a week or two when it finishes. 😂😂

I agree that the storytelling needed gravitas than Shah taking pictures like a 10 year stalker and Anmol running around trees and flowers in old Bwood. Ideally this show should have the strong pull-push factor of a forbidden love where you know you are enemies but your love for each other is all-consuming, it takes over your senses and you are unable to control those feelings despite knowing you should not be feeling those feelings. I think they are working with a really bad script and screenplay which seems to be adding stuff as they go.

This kind of lovestory needs passion and they have just sucked all the passion out of Shahnawaz at this point.

I stopped watching after the wedding when he exposed his true colors, and she was like, "My mission is to fix this spoiled brat and save our marriage." I was like, "Girl, go get your head checked, the brain might’ve left the chat" I just can’t take it seriously when a character goes so overboard, especially in Pakistani dramas where "saving the marriage" becomes their one and only project. Women would walk away from a million dollar deal just to play therapist to their man-child husband.

ASA was definitely a much better executed drama. Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded if Shehroz had married for revenge, because the plot was laid out in such a way that it felt totally believable, and their relationship was heading in that direction, it would have made perfect sense. But instead, we were stuck watching the oldies tiptoeing around marriage, while Sufi somehow managed to grab a criminology graduation cap like he was about to become the world’s biggest criminal with absolutely no qualifications.
