Ali and her have good chemistry but in terms of acting, I feel like he is still rather green. His expressions in some key scenes are not strong. At the same time, the writing here is really cheesy wattapad teenage nonsense. What we need is a strong man-woman chemistry to sell this love story whereas I don't feel it. I generally catch up on this drama when I have finished with whatever else I have. I still haven't gotten around to watching this week's episodes yet as I don't feel any sense of urgency on what madness will come around. There is no curiousity really.
One of my favourite ASA scenes is this one where he is waiting to take her on the date and then time freezes for him as he is absolutely gobsmacked by how beautiful she looks. You can actually seem him gulp and stammer out some words and then actually shake his head to clear his brain.

That is the kind of chemistry and storytelling romance I wanted. These are two adults.
Not Shaw hiding from a far away window and taking clicks secretly like a stalker while she is wandering around very weirdly like a 70s/80s heroine and dancing like she is airheaded fairy when Mehru has a super practical streak. Instead, we alternate between two teenagers in Iqtidar at times.
