There are two books (and films) I associate with "Scarlett"... Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With The Wind and Scarlet Pimpernel (the adventurer Sir Percy Blakeney)...the first one I read to better my English knowledge, the adventures of the second one I read in French (Le Mouron Rouge) to better my French
Par lay - woo meow Fran say apres reading set roman ? 😆 I read GWTW when this argument broke out between two girls in school. One said it was romantic and a great book. The other said it was bad. She said it with such passion tht I needed to know how bad it was. Well the politics of the book is messed up and the stair scene is far from romantic but it is well written. Quite the page turner. The film had great photography but I found it boring except for the Melanie bits- she looked exactly like I had pictured her in my head.
The name of MA's restaurant reminds me of a brothel lol. It sounds like a euphemism. The words ' scarlet' and ' house ' go well together. Bawdy vibe. But it looks like a nice place.
