firstly about Leena..
The way she is focusing on Arshi… I can only say… she is supremely confident of turning the tide in Runak’s favour in a jiffy… else she wouldn’t have taken so much effort to paint this sob story when Arshi has basically been a footnote in this story all this while. The comical element of yesterday’s bidaai… the elaborateness, the so called lachaari interspersed with physical abuse…. I only see one thing emerging she is showing a person who will manipulate this not even requiring any other motivation to do this. Shristi’s help may not even be required…. This next step could well be her own. The seamlesness with which the “victim” becomes aggressor ( has always been) will become clear as day in days to come…
I want you guys to rewind to episodes at the start - especially the Arshi Jhanak birthday episodes.. that was an Arshi wasn’t a banshee but was as mean as ever… It doesn’t matter if Arshi is composed, banshee like, crying she is MEAN THROUGH AND THROUGH!! PERIOD
Now coming to Ani..
There are two facets to it and I understand the reason why Ani is saying what he is saying…. He is the “in the now” person… he will always choose the less difficult path or least confrontational path if he can help it. All his clarity of vision is only activated if J is in not with him or if she is in any trouble… that’s the only time he is the “ duniya ko Aag laga doonga” mode. Else, he is the guy who will just let sleeping dogs lie…
This is the core trait of Ani… Core traits are the most difficult to develop in the arc of a story. But one change has happened while we were all sleeping..
Ani would have always found it difficult to articulate the words to anyone other than Jhanak… there was a time he was hesitant to speak his mind with her but from the time he has realised his love for her…he only shares his feelings with her. In an ideal circumstance, he would have been free with her and unburdened himself but the situation is such ( though poorly built in the narrative). Jhanak is his soulmate. The one thing that has rubbed off on him being brutally frank with her…like he can tell any thing to her and hear anything from her..
Unfortunately, this time it’s a bit different.. he knows she has principles that she holds dear…and he is being forced to exploit that and for the first time in his life he is feeling bad about that. The means vs ends… The Ani of the yore would have done it very easily but not this totally samarpit in love of his darling J…he feels THIS majboori… For J he has changed and kissi ko yeh Nazar bhi nahin aaya..Oh Leena you silly lady how can be so obtuse in the narrative that your core audience doesn’t get it…Ah the sadistic lady you are…. You will keep options open and that’s where the danger is BUT I am still holding her to the Love story she has narrated to us so far RUNAK AND RUNAK ALONE
. Jab itni ghatiya harkatein karne ke baad bhi achi ladki thi toh ab toh she is in full sanskaari achi ladki mode. No screaming no blaming.....infact apni mom ko bhi chup karaya ki kuch mat kHiye ani ko let him live
