The hollywood roundtables get it right every time, always inviting people who are deserving and have actually done significant work in that year, they dont care if someone is a nepo or not, they dont care about if you are a star or not, they don't care if the film they were in made 100 crores or 10 crores, even if a person is a newcomer they will invite all of the actors who have done the best work in that year.

Whereas these bollywood roundtables... i mean they invited someone for a song

Kareena was amazing in the film, it was not entertaining by any means and that wasn't the intention either. It was an insight into immigrants issues and a woman's mental health after losing her only child.

she calls actors for best performance 2024 when their movies are releasing in 2025 (vicky) or when they had no release in 2024 (shabana) How about invite those who actually delivered solid performances in the year..kriti for do patti? laapata ladies cast?

I couldn’t bring myself to watch the entire video, but I came across a clip of Kareena saying that the box office is a trap, and honestly, I couldn’t agree more. Bollywood and its fans are way too fixated on the numbers for some reason. You don’t see the same obsession in Hollywood, from either the actors or the fans. It’s great that Netflix and other OTT platforms exist, letting actors explore their potential without stressing over the numbers.

Kareena has established herself as a serious actress... for what exactly are these round tables? For discussing random things?

I would watch it without Anupama but not with her......and well, yes, the table is round but the sitting isn't around the table...strange setting.

There used to be separate round tables for male and female actors. Don't know why that didn't happen this time. Seems Anupama's lens didn't see many actors who actually deserved to be at the round table.

Amitabh Bachhan for Kalki, Vikrant for Sector 36, the cast of Laapataa Ladies- especially Pratibha Ranta and Chhaya Kadam, both Parineeti and Diljeet for Amar Singh Chamkila, Ajay for Maidaan-just to name a few.

The quality of the roundtable has gone to the dogs..

The original Roundtable by The Hollywood Reporter has actors with critically acclaimed releases that year discussing those projects and the process (TV shows and movies separately). I noticed Hollywood hosts usually face away from the camera and have less screen time although they are conducting the interview. I also enjoy the Actors on Actors by Variety, which doesn't have a host.

I felt like Indian roundtables are more about the host than the actors. Not necessarily the invited actors with recent acclaimed or interesting projects. And there are too many, so it no longer interests me unless it involves actors whose offscreen conversations I find appealing.
