Shatrughan Sinha has seen it all in his personal and professional life. He has had a career of more than five decades and the actor is always known for his baritone and intense performances. His abode is called Ramayana and his children are named Luv, Kush, and Sonakshi Sinha. This actress made a blockbuster debut with Salman Khan in the 2010 Dabangg. She starred in a film called Double XL that also had her now husband Zaheer Iqbal. The duo tied the knot earlier this year and made a lot of headlines.
Shatrughan Sinha recently spoke in an interview as to why his sons Luv and Kush skipped Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding.
The Naseeb actor said, ““I won’t complain. They are only humans. They maybe still not be so mature. I do understand their pain and confusion. There is always a cultural reaction.”
He added, “Maybe, if I was their age, I might have had a similar reaction to it. But, here is where your maturity, seniority, and experience come in place. Hence, my reaction was not as extreme as my sons’.”
In the same interview, Shatrughan Sinha said he was supportive of his daughter’s inter-faith marriage and revealed, “It’s their life and their wedding. They have to lead a life. If they are sure about each other, who are we to be against it? As parents and as a father, it was my duty to support her.”
Sinha continued, “I have always been with her, and I will continue to be so. We speak so much about women’s empowerment, how is it wrong for her to choose her partner? Not like she did anything illegal. She was mature.”
This is what the veteran actor had to say to all the trolls making a big fuss about his daughter’s wedding, “Kucch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna. To this I would like to add, ‘Kehne waale agar bekar, bekaam-kaaj ke ho to kehna hi kaam ban jata hai.” He broke his silence in an interview with Times Now.
He added, “A wedding is a very personal decision between two people; no one has the right to interfere or comment. To all the protestors I say – go, get a life. Do something useful with your life. Aur kucch nahi kehna (I have nothing else to say).”
