So, it seems like the makers of pushpa2 have held a multiplex theatre under contract to only screen pushpa2 and no other movie for the first 10 days of its release. Motwane also spoke about how this has caused golden globes nominated Payal kapadias film 'all we imagine as light' to not get screens

Fair enough. If Pushpa 2 makers tied up with cinema halls to screen their movie only and cinema owners also agreed for same. It is business afterall. Who will give screen to this movie when they wont even recover parking charges as well

Thadani,Raveena's husband is distributing the film in Hindi. In this case, the exhibitors would have readily agreed.

Other films can wait.Those two films will find audience, whenever it is released in India.

Thadani is the owner of AA Films and for his tactics he would be adamant to have as much screens as possible for as long as possible.

Good for them, all the shows are house full so it’s a win win situation for them.

You may be right that there exists a certain kind of "win win situation" but how would you know that "all the shows are house full"? You wouldn't even get to know if there are really shows at some times if there is no control...

no offence but barring a few metro cities i do not expect there being a huge audience for 'all we imagine as light'. why would the theater owners want to run multiple shows of a low occupancy movie if they can run multiple shows of a decent to high demand movie. the theaters are struggling cuz of how poorly most of the movies have been doing since the pandemic. they will do whatever they can to make their money.
