It's so good to read meaningful discussions that too on the edt ..Originally posted by: theromanticcrap
Depends on the enemy. If they’re irrelevant, I’ll ignore them like they don’t exist. If they’re a real problem, I’ll outsmart them without stooping to their level. Either way, I don’t waste energy on people who aren’t worth it.
When it comes to Ruhi and Abhira, I don’t think Abhira is wrong for wanting a connection with her sister. She grew up as an only child with just her mom as family, so it’s natural for her to crave that bond. As a single child myself, I get it—it can feel lonely sometimes. There are moments I wish I had a sibling, and other times I’m glad I don’t.
Ruhi’s perspective makes sense too. She has every right to hate Akshara for what happened. But deep down, I think she misses her maasi. The show didn’t really highlight a strong connection between Ruhi and Akshara, but I’m super close to my aunts in real life, so I understand how meaningful that bond can be. Remember the Holi episode? Ruhi, after drinking bhaang, said she missed her maasi. That moment showed she still cared for Akshara, even with all the anger she holds.
After Aarohi’s death, when Akshara took the blame, Ruhi’s anger was justified. She probably expected Akshara to step up and take care of her, but instead, Akshara left with her kids and Ruhi’s poppy. At that point, her resentment was valid.
Where Ruhi goes wrong is projecting all her hate onto Abhira and even Abhira’s child. Abhira wasn’t even born when Aarohi died, but Ruhi still curses her, calls her manhoos, taunts her infertility, and constantly victimizes herself. She throws disgusting insults at Abhira, wishes harm on her kid, and blames every misfortune in her life on her cousin. That’s crossing a line.
I get that Ruhi is carrying a lot of unresolved anger, but that’s Akshara’s doing, not Abhira’s. By 30, if she still can’t tell the difference between her grudge against Akshara and her innocent cousin, then I can’t support her behavior. Baaki apna apna dekh lo.
You've put forth all the points ans ruhi has that unresolved anger & resentment which she's projecting on abhira ..
But my take is , why even try to mend it ? They're not the first siblings who are at each othera throats. They are not even real siblings ..expecting familial love from those who don't love you is stupidity..I don't say abhira should stop caring like if ruhi is dying she must let her , no..but the way she's doing it just add to her wooes ..they're thrown in the same space , in practical situations, either she should move out or ruhi ..but they won't do it..ruhi is just a plot device to create problems in abhiras life..since yrkkh doesn't have outright vamps & villains , they do it this way ..I mean they started doing it this way since last gen..
Arohi had a lot of resentment against akshu but what happened ? Akshu was indirectly involved in Neil's death..but still arohi let go of it & made peace with it later ....coz akshu left birlas ...arohi got the time and space to heal ..to mature ..arohi said as long as akshu is not close , it's all OK..so ruhi can also change in future ..
I believe she needs real love & nurturing .. ruhi is craving for the family & true unconditional love , more than abhira..only then can she heal .that unconditional love can also come from daksh , like in arohis case , it came from ruhi....ghar pe normal jethani devrani ke beech zindagi bhar comparison and competition khatam nai hota toh here we have step siblings with loads of baggage..it won't get resolved just with arohis death truth coming out
