Though BW doesn't understand the concept of sequels, so I think it won't happen in the same universe following the events of first movie

Knowing the original movie, I also skipped the remake with Kartik, mainly because of the story line. So, of course, I'm not (yet) interested in a 'second inning'.

Yes the storyline of the movie is shit with them promoting cheating.The ML of the movie cheats on his wife with a young modern girl but still his wife forgives him in the end also you could see him interested in other girl(Kriti's entry) saw some clips of the movie.I haven't also watched the first part but the first part was a success that's why they are making part 2.Mujhe aise cheating promoting story bilkul bhi pasand nahi hai

The original movie has a very good script - like a theatre play...so, it wasn't the way cheating was showcased in the modern rendition but what happend around the triangle which made me skip the watch...I sensed that I wouldn't like it.
