I think the main reason for bringing Abhir is too disclose that Ruhi was the one who drove the car. Everyone else who is aware of Aarohi's accident truth is either dead or moved away.

The creatives have no other way to bring out truth. Abhir may have heard something and know about it. However, considering he himself was a child not sure if anyone will believe him.

Though bring Kairav and Muskan would have made more sense as no one would have been able to deny them.

Kairav and Muskaan's kids will have more related to Abhira than Ruhi because Kairav and Akshu are real siblings while Muskaan and Abhinav consider each other as siblings. While Ruhi is only related to Kairav through Aarohi. Besides, if Musrav knows the truth behind Aarohi's death, Muskaan will surely tell her kids about Abhinav and Akshara

Abhir might be a singer and his backstory must be ki Abhimanyu died in that landslide while saving his son. And may be Abhir ka memory lose ho gaya or something.
