In terms of whole package SMD is more disastrous than Mein for me

But yeah Wahaj's role was worse in Mein

I can't imagine any A lister playing that

Bilal Abdullah is slightly ahead ,we can expect DT to pick such roles if not others

Do we consider shows like shiddat ,siyaani super hit ? And Mohsin Ali Haider or Muneeb Bhatt crowd puller (If views are criteria)

TB was huge hit in India so obviously optimistic people will give a try

Wahaj did gain popularity but i wont consider smd as doing any good to Wahaj rather it's reducing his credibility how long will they continue watching his shows

Smd was a bad decision for wahaj ,12 episodes are enough to know that

There are other actors like Danish who have a bigger audience, sticky on all commercial shows.

Whilst I agree he’s now a pro at giving views just like Danish is on YouTube but no one wants him to become a Danish. Lots of reviewers actually care about Wahaj as friends in the industry and want Wahaj to choose better scripts because he’s a DAMN GOOD ACTOR and way better than the likes of Danish. So it’s good people are speaking out I know great scripts are scarce especially for male actors but sometimes choosing one social drama over a commercial one is better for his career graph as it can show his performance calibre to audiences. Actors need to be chameleons where they can fit into any role and Wahaj did many variations previously so I guess because of Mein and now SMD his genuine audience are missing that Wahaj. He’s got his star power now and he can concentrate on his craft more by balancing social and commercial scripts. Like Bilal. I remember watching DNUTN and it being a social drama and aired on a small channel but boy was Wahaj so good! Me and mum binge watched it because of how good Yumna, Wahaj, Nouman, Yasra etc all were in their roles. It was with Kashif too. I want to see Wahaj do a social drama even if it’s a mini series because he’s one of the best actors in ptv.

I’m sure the trip will be 8. If we do end up comparing it is still better than SMD for those who were dissing Yumna because let’s be honest a signature COMMERCIAL project on Geo getting a 6.0 trp is underwhelming and going by how much it was promoted and with it having TWO A listers where Qarz-e-jaan only had Yumna. Geo didn’t promote any trps yet which indicates they’re not exactly happy with the tv ratings. YouTube wise SMD is doing great as expected 👍

Mein was also post TB. He signed it during TB airing and because of how popular he was at the time the ph of big bang wanted to cash in on his popularity. It was a big project of Big Bang if I remember it being announced at the time it was a big thing as Ayeza was the female lead.

And there is no likes of Danish. Danish is a hit machine as of today. His shows get views.

There are many other actors like HAA, AAA they are doing "good" commercial shows, but no one is watching those. Views on a social based drama is even low. What's the impact of critical projects if no one is interested in watching those.

This thread is now turning into SMD thread, drag everyone under the sun to tiptoe around the fact that SMD is a critical and commercial failure..

It was during TB when Wahaj signed it and not post TB irrespective of whenever it was announced.
