But they really overestimated Wahaj ki hype or how invested people were in Mahaj. If this PH has an aqal, Geo wouldn't be lagging behind both ARY and Hum today.

I disagree here because 25M views don't start at first few episodes, someone who knows about numbers as much as you do, I wonder why you are down playing youtube views of SMD.

KRQ's style of writing is slow and has a old world charm which everyone is aware of ! Nobody is stupid to not realize a simple thing that today when OTT is the norm and masala love stories with trip and falls work, slow pace is certainly not massy! Producers are no fools to not get that!

Also, an actor can only bring the audience for the first couple of episodes and they continue to watch for the content....if this was not th case then no A lister's project would have tanked...again something producers are very well aware of !

It is garnering views on YT which is impressive. And when it comes to Geo, I think it's one of their very few shows which is still in top 10!

Like I said, it's not everyone's cup of tea, some might find it boring while others might enjoy it!

It was an editing mistake i think. they should have shown the alcohol being thrown in trash in this episode when he tells them to, not when he was talking to Rameen on the phone.

They showed us doctor telling about cancer to Naamdar, then to Sadaf, then to her mother. in mai se ek do scene kaat kar Sadaf telling Humsha hi dikha dete as that was a huge plot point actually.

The level Wahaj is at, all his competitors have upped their game. No ML at Wahaj's level has an issue of the male lead role not being strong. This problem only crops up in Wahaj's shows.

Critical acclaim depends on industry connections and Wahaj doesn't even give interviews, antagonizing people even more, whatever restraint reviewers are showing is because they are afraid of audience abusing them

If Wahaj had given interviews, we'd be hearing "Actors are doing good but story is bad" critical acclaim is a facade

The views for such a show are impressive on YouTube and Wahaj is mainly bringing in those views. I don’t think anyone including production thought that Mahaj was a selling factor.

And what did Wahaj gain from Mein ? His performance there is considered his worst ever and he was heavily overshadowed by his onscreen dad. Yes SMD is a huge flop but at least Wahaj is the central character here and is kind of carrying the show.
