Ani Arshi se Deewano ki tarah pyaar karta tha

A long controversial rant so read at your own risk. Today S said the statement that there was a time when Ani madly loved Arshi.. This statement is for all those who claimed Ani never loved Arshi, they were just friends, it was just infatuation. But the truth is, Ani really loved Arshi. They were genuinely happy until jhanak entered their lives. This truth can't be negated just coz people want to see leads story.

I agree people fall out of love and there's nothing wrong in moving on in life but there's a way to do it. And the way makers showed Runak is definitely not the right way to show it. You can't use infidelity and cheating as a means to state falling out of love. You can't glorify cheating under any circumstance but unfortunately every other serial serves the same nonsense.

The only good thing this serial has done is state it clearly time and again that jhanak is the third angle, that she came between a couple and created rift between them. Either jhanak herself states this or they make other say this. No matter what runak fans say, it doesn't change the fact. I would've thought of supporting runak had they shown J leaving BH, atleast when she had 7 lakhs (even before that she could've left but still), focused on her career and after few months they could've have started runak on a clean slate without arshi. I would've respected J if she genuinely didn't interfere in Anishi's life but she was an absolute hypocrite who used change her stance every other minute.

This show always reminds me of Silsila. No I am not comparing Arshi with Mauli. She was a gem, one of the finest characters of itv. but the storyline is quite similar. Mauli got cheated by her bestfriend. Here j cheated Arshi with her fiance.. and both nandini and j were able naari, dukho ki maari who nicely played the victim card. And Kunal and Ani pendulums.

Maybe in future they will show runak getting together like Kunal nandni. But it doesn't change the fact that they did wrong and they faced karma for it. Silsila nicely showed this but I am sure Leena won't show j or Ani facing any repercussions when they literally have good basus singing praises of their infidelity especially of jhanak The way the good basus treat her as if she is a goddess reincarnated makes me chuckle. Also they never miss a chance to Gaslight the victim and hail the fraudsters.

But a relationship like this shouldn't be glorified. Back then there were people who supported Kunal nandni, many shippers who loved their chemistry and now there are plenty who ship Runak but unfortunately can't bring myself to do so.

People also tend to forget that despite being Srishti's daughter, Arshi was reasonably kind, perhaps due to Vinayak's shadow. Ani loved her and that's why they were going on a pre wedding honeymoon. They were in a relationship for YEARS before Jhanak entered the picture.

Imagine if the story panned out from Arshi's perspective. I, Arshi, am madly in love with my boyfriend, and am visiting my mother's hometown, Kashmir. My boyfriend meets my cousin. I leave town but my boyfriend stays back for a few extra days. I'm busy with my life and then all of a sudden my boyfriend comes home with my cousin. I have no clue what happened but sure, I'll deal with it. All of a sudden I notice my boyfriend getting closer to my cousin, something I'm uncomfortable with. And my boyfriend starts distancing himself from me and over extends his hand of help to my cousin. All of a sudden, I find out very publicly at my engagement party that my boyfriend is actually married to my cousin. Then, I do everything I can to break this marriage. My boyfriend, is also compliant and thinks that this marriage should be broken. And I try and try but I see with my own two eyes, that my boyfriend, is in love with my cousin.

Now the story isn't that simple. Of course, Arshi is mean and horrible like her mother. But again, people forget that Arshi too, was kind. It was Ani's constant back and forth, constant lies, and constant lack of backbone that caused Arshi to become insane. I'm not justifying Arshi's character. But I also think that no matter which you look at it, Ani and Jhanak don't make much sense on a moral basis. Their marriage was forced, which under any religion or the court of law, would not be considered a real marriage.

This show is just so frustrating.

Well - if this happened to me; my bf and my cousin; I would not be persuaded by my bf to stay with him while he was clearly prioritizing my cousin. Anyone with self respect and no self interest, would have bailed out long ago.

Arshi's mistake is a lack of self respect and obsessive love that made her cling to her bf and to get her due, regardless of the approach she took and regardless of any harm or suffering it caused to another person,

She kept blaming Ani's actions on Jhanak; and wanted to hold on to Ani by hook or crook. Further she was dumb enough to be brainwashed by Bipasha and Shristi.

Ani and J are both jokers; each becoming stupid in turn, one after the other.

To your point, if you go strictly by storyline, Ani did love Arshi madly; but it did not stop him from being attracted to Jhanak when they met, So many scenes of their physical contact raising awareness between them both and Ani deliberately seeking J out.

Also in Suhaagraat dream, Ani tells J - he was hers the first time he saw her; whereas he tells Arshi he only got involved with J because Arshi and S targeted her. Thats a lie.

Writers show Ani to be a person who loves J but needs Arshi to hold his hand as backup if & when J rejects him. He is weak apparently in front of J and Arshi and can let neither go.

Ani has to send Arshi packing and persuade J to come back to him or give up J and remain faithful to Arshi. He is playing both women per the story.

He tells Arshi to go in 2 episodes and when she packs to leave - he asks her to stay. Given Arshi is weak and an idiot for staying; but he is asking her to - and excuse is Arshi makes him weak. That does have some underlying suggestiveness.
