Hopefully some good Samaritan pigeon convey it to her as well. 🙄
The Indian audience simply doesn't have the range to appreciate nuanced or morally grey characters. For them, it's always black or white—a character is either a saint or a pure, scheming vamp. That’s why Indian TV shows are written the way they are, with a perpetually "bichari" FL to garner sympathy. The audience has this bizarre tendency to overlook the most idiotic, gaslighting, or straight-up toxic decisions made by lead characters just because they’re the leads. They can mess up a hundred times, manipulate others, and still be labeled as "victims."
Exactly atleast I have seen in foreign series that good villian are also appreciated and the main characters if they are annoying then they are dragged as well.
Indian ones (not all) have this very forgiving nature for badly written scripts. The amount of times I have read here that it's itv so don't go around looking for logic.
Huh!! Why should I not go around looking for logic??
But still I actually like reddit then twitter where audience have become absolute simps for the main leads.
If you look at most vamp arcs in Itv, they’re often women who were gaslit or led on by the ML. Usually, the vamp is positioned as the ML’s girlfriend or fiancée, and the ML two-times them, leading them on while inevitably falling for the FL. When the so-called "vamp" starts hating the FL or the ML, somehow she becomes the villain while the ML is painted as the victim. This trope has been running on a loop since the Ekta Kapoor era and still thrives today.
Contrast this with Hollywood, where morally grey or even outright villainous characters have massive fanbases. Walter White from Breaking Bad, Logan Roy from Succession, or even Joffrey Baratheon—that hated little sh*t from GOT—are all despised within their stories but celebrated by fans for their layered performances. People line up at Comic-Con to get autographs from the actors who play these complex roles.
Meanwhile, in India? Itv audiences are busy yelling at their TVs and cursing the "vamp" with, notepads in hand, tallying up her sins against the FL. If anyone even dares to defend a character who isn’t the FL, they’re attacked like they’ve committed a crime. Imagine expecting depth from an audience that only wants to worship their bichari leads while demonizing anyone who so much as frowns at them.
Reddit comments sums it well 💀🤣🤣

Woo hoo!! 🥳 Garvita getting such recognition, and appreciation it actually making me feel so happy for her 💓 💖

The only reason that I even watch this show is Ruhi but just as you pointed out about the limited understanding and appreciation of grey characters, the makers as well are unable and frankly, unfit to handle such grey characters.
Ruhi's characters graph had so many ups and downs, one moment she is made to be the ultimate villainess and the next second, she becomes just another one of FL's fans.
Now that I think of it, I feel I simply wasted my time trying to talk about the trauma that Ruhi's character had to go through, the reasons why Armaan is not a good male lead, abrupt changes in Abhira's characterization and of-course, how Rohit is not a bechara, dukhiyara because of his own choices.
Expecting these people to understand that people are not completely black and white and that every character is grey shaded and hoping that they would understand any other character's point of view except for the overly victimized, toxicity tolerating doormats main characters, especially the FL, is like expecting sun to rise from the west.
Yes Garvita as Ruhi straight walked in to people's heart who are not biased , she simply stole the show !
What amazing performer she got an antagonist's role with that she made a lot of people sympathetic with her .
I must say both young Ruhi and grown up Ruhi both are amazing .

She is actually very beautiful appearance wise she has a great, tonned body and sparkling bluish green eyes, her performance is top notch 👌...She has the look to kill
Ruhi was wrong driving to hospital alone I mentioned that before ..But Ruhi 100 percent good mother than Akshara ...She didn't go to abort child like Akshara who can't handle two babies at a time...plus no regret for one twin miscarriage....Ruhi didn't do any stunt during her pregnancy all her concern was how her baby is treated after he or she is born that comes under caring and love ....
Yaha ruhi galti karti toh usko tabhi defend kiya jata hei same galti k liye ak ko pehele call out karte the 😆😏🤣

Exactly. Even my all time fvrt jamie lannister from got. He had affair with his twin sister. He handicapped a kid by throwing him from tower and what not heinous crimes he did for cersie. But it's his character that make many like me his biggest fan. There was John snow also who was man with honor and hero Character. But Jamie outshines him COMPLETELY
It's very important for people to understand that just bcoz someone like grey shaded or not always morally correct character, doesn't mean they endorse such wrong things.its just we could relate to such characters and can understand from where they are coming from.
